Panthers Front Office has lost it!

The way it was handle actually made the FO look bad.The press conference didn't help. Their PR person obvious didn't prepare them. They did Hardy a favor he is still getting paid. He put him self in this situation. I have a question; everyone feels he will be found not guilty in November what will your opionion of him and the organization be if he is found guilty.

Sometimes, no matter what the PR person says or does ... no matter how much prep you give them ... the honchos don't always listen and learn.

I am disappointed that the Panthers brass won't assist Hardy with counseling and basically have the approach of "It's up to him" instead of reaching out and possibly leading the charge.

How do you know they're not?

This type of suspension allows him contact with the team.  They may be doing just these sorts of things but not saying much.  Or perhaps they've tried to get Hardy to take part in something of the sort but he's refused.

Either way, I can see where you might not discuss this type of thing publicly.

This whole problem goes a lot deeper than our front office. Don't blame this organization. I know people find his hard to believe but the NFL and the Panthers make money from corporate sponsors. The Panthers rely on corporations like Bank of America and Nike and all of those big mega corporations to support them. They will not loose sponsors.

Once they threaten to pull their sponsorships, teams listen. Fact is, all of these corporations hate what is going on and the NFL is having to bow to them. I know people will argue that fans are more important than sponsorships and maybe that is true, but fans will come back. The NFL looses players all the time and they rebuild themselves. Losing sponsorships is another issue.

I really think the NFL wanted all of this to blow over. That was the plan. Until the sponsors started to leave and now this is a huge mess.

Did you hear.. Anheuser-Busch is now talking about the NFL and how upset they are? Look at all the money they spend!! You don't think Roger is just a bit concerned? Jerry Richardson too? Now Bank of America who sponsors our stadium has come out. Come on people.

Even I am granted due process. What would happen to me while I awaited trail would be determined by my leadership. Definitely.

If found guilty by a jury of my peers I could be released or they take rank, pay ect.

And no, this behavior is not tolerated.

I'm not defending what GH did or didn't do, he is ignorant for putting himself and us in this situation in the first place.

I am defending his right to due process.

Greg Hardy will be getting due process in November, regardless of what the NFL decides to do as an organization.

In the AF, you would get your day in court.  However, if you were involved in a similar situation, you would have your security clearance suspended, not be allowed to do your job and likely confined until trial.

GH is getting off easy.

Yeah, because in the AF you have the lives of other people in your hand and are easily replaced.

And what many fans are just now learning to their dismay...

When it comes to protecting the NFL's business model, star players that cause public relation disasters are replaceable as well.

You say that now, but wait til the inevitable innocent verdicts start rolling in for whichever players and the NFLPA starts wondering about compensation for damages to the future contracts of the players that were sat out.

I fully support these individuals getting their day in court.

This is not about whether what they have done is legal or illegal.

It is about highly paid professionals athletes acting in a manner that is counterproductive to the goals of team owners and the NFL.

These businessmen have the right to protect their billion dollar investments from players that thoughtlessly endanger the league's image and profitability with their outrageous if not illegal behavior.
