Hardy on Exempt List

While it sucks it came to this, at this point, it's the best way to go for the Panthers. While you can say we gave in to media/public out cry, and you'd be right, it's all about public perception, which leads to lost revenue and lost sponsorships (Minnesota, Nike leaving AP...). Everyone involved in this situation has handled it poorly, and it starts with Hardy hanging out with coked up whores. You've got to be smarter than that. He's not really losing anything at this point as he's still getting paid. The team and it's success more than likely be the ones that do suffer from all of these missteps, but there is a silver lining. We still have a solid D that gets a head start on life without Hardy. It's a shame we have to pay him 13 mil to do nothing.

So what do u do when he is found not guilty?

Ohh my bad Greg. $$$ is more important than class. Hope u understand.

After a few days of round the clock coverage, I have taken the time to reflect upon all that I've heard and have come to a conclusion I have not yet heard expressed by anyone. To mean this is all the product of the players union. Who have been willing to defend these guys relentlessly against the Nfl regardless of the charges, guilt, or repetitiveness of the charges. Everyone wants to blame someone. But no one's actually pointing to the group who best represents these players. If they hadn't cloaked these players with sense of untouchableness over the years? I doubt they would feel so comfortable carrying on the way so many of them do in the off season. And it didn't start recently. This has been going on since Micheal Irvin was doing coke and holding hookers at gunpoint while they pleasured him orally. Firing Goodell, is only a symptom of the real problem. It's very clever how the union has stayed invisible through all of this though!

I think because of the intense media coverage the Players Union has decided to do a low key approach.  The fervor is too high right now for any meaningful interaction.  If the player union was stronger I could see a more upfront approach but this last CBA was a joke.  Unfortunately this is the best strategy right now.

It appears Tampa Bay may be  the last time we will see Hardy in a Panthers uniform.

If he's found innocent I would bet 10 grand that he'll finish out the season and playoffs. Probably a 99.99% chance he's not here after the season though. Found guilty, and yes I agree with you.
