Hardy on Exempt List

Like the owners of say, the Vikings, or the Ravens?

Zygi Wilf just signed off on an indefinite suspension for Adrian Peterson.  You think he's gonna go to bat for Greg Hardy now?

That's not how it works.  The league is under siege in the media right now.  They want this stuff to go away and they'll do anything they have to in order to make that happen.

If the NFL suspends him he doesn't get paid.  The league offered this to Hardy as an alternative, and Hardy accepted.

what about the 49ers owner? bears owner seems like he will have to make a choice soon as well

Some of the other owners are complaining that the NFL is giving the Panthers and the Vikings special privileges by using this 'Exempt' list.

It doesn't sound like anybody's in the mood to do us any favors.

Yes then they would have done that about 2 months ago.......... anyways how can he break code of conduct if he is proven innocent in his appeal trial?? Due Process.

Sanjay I'm not trying to attack you. We are all very frustrated by hardy equals the Carolina Panthers

The fact is no business is held to the legal standard of due process. That is a legal discussion with legal framework. If I were accused of child molestation, drunk driving, beating my child or my spouse, my corporation could fire me at will as part of their business conduct guIdelines as I am a Manager and represent them. They are quite clear about as a term of employment. It is their discretion if they feel my behavior is an embarrassment to their brand

The same is true of the NFL, probably more so. Due process means you are entitled to a fair trial to avoid imprisonment or other legal penalties. It has nothing to do with code of conducts as a condition of employment

Someone accuse Manning and all of this poo will go away.

He was accused of sexual harassment when he first came in iirc.

Eta: yeah he said he was mooning a friend & didn't know the trainer was in the room. The trainer said he claimed he had a stress fracture in him foot & when she bent down to check, he dropped his shorts & sat on her face. UT paid her off for that & other incidents (not involving manning) Then he wrote a book & basically talked trash about her & he had to settle with her for that.
