How exactly do they tell the NFL "no"?

Simple no,  speak with the other owners, clearly if they are on the same page then the nfl won't have a choice.

Also let the nfl suspend him if that was really what they were going to do, so then he could appeal it

the media is going to make us look like monsters however the choice we make, this choice just adds fuel to the flame........for now i'll keep an eye on the McDonald situation and see how that plays out

there's alot more they could have done in explaining the situation..........as well

I think the Panther FO want hardy (who I think they like a lot not just a player but a person) to be able to disappear from this media outrage. It's unfair to him to be brandished as the face of this media backlash when all the other cases are felonies and much much worse. Just bc the legal system said "guilty" he was attacked even though the NC legal system doesn't work that way. Terrible timing and the faster they can take the eyes off him the better chance he has to come out of this. The media latched onto hardy and wouldn't let go so I can understand this decision.

Like the owners of say, the Vikings, or the Ravens?

Zygi Wilf just signed off on an indefinite suspension for Adrian Peterson.  You think he's gonna go to bat for Greg Hardy now?

That's not how it works.  The league is under siege in the media right now.  They want this stuff to go away and they'll do anything they have to in order to make that happen.

If the NFL suspends him he doesn't get paid.  The league offered this to Hardy as an alternative, and Hardy accepted.

Clearly, you must not work for a Corporation.

The Panthers are a Corporation.

They have a code of player conduct in every single contract for just these types fo reasons.  Do you not remember, the ffew lesser named players, with guns and DUI violations that they just dropped WITHOUT due process.

Allmost every  Corporation has a code of conduct, business conduct guidelines, if they chose, they can fire me on violation of that.

We could even take it to a ridiculous level of saying that North Carolina is a right to work state.  The NFL Union means ZERO.  Just like the Union that wants to represent me would have zero authority.

North Carolina allows any employer to hire and fire at will.  They need not give one reason.  They need not explain.  They need not wait on 'due process'.

Yes then they would have done that about 2 months ago.......... anyways how can he break code of conduct if he is proven innocent in his appeal trial??   Due Process.
