From Michael David Smith at PFT...

Jameis Winston just doesnt get it

Judge for yourself for this is a correct assessment or not.

(for full disclosure, please specify what college team you cheer for when doing so)

I feel like he has real talent, but I wouldn't want my team taking him unless the GM and Coach had a great locker room, and felt good about it after many interviews.

I personally don't watch much college football at all until bowl season, but if I had an allegiance it would be to the USC Trojans since I grew up in SoCal and know many former players and attended games in LA as a kid. So, yeah, talk to me about issues within the school as USC has certainly had some of their own to deal with of late.

That being said, all the Winston incidents as a whole are for more egregious than if taking only one into consideration without the entire body of work, as it were. And perhaps the most disturbing bit of information to come out is not one of the incidents at all, but Winston's reaction to it:

"He had initially been suspended for the first half of the game for screaming an obscene phrase in the student union; the suspension for the second half reportedly comes because Florida State discovered that Winston lied to school authorities about some of the circumstances surrounding that incident."

Now we have just stepped out of the stupid, immature and childish behavior realm and now recognize the very substance of him as a human being is now questioned- his integrity. Really, you're gonna lie about something so imbecile and sophomoric? You just took stupid behavior and turned it into questionable character by lying about it.

All the people saying it's uptight old folks overreacting or he's just a kid doing harmless stuff are about as dumb and clueless as Winston. He is an idiot.

Winston is legitimately one of the 10 or so biggest names in all of sports right now. He's by far the biggest star in college athletics, and his publicity on a national stage is right up there with the biggest pro athletes. He's the highly followed star QB of the #1 team in the country, & is the reigning Heisman & BCS title winner. Yet look at how he acts. In the last year he has been accused and investigated for sexual assault and rape, caught stealing from Burger King, arrested for stealing from a grocery store, & other things. And time and time again he has no consequences for his actions. He gets in trouble then gives a insincere speech about accountability and being mature. Rinse & repeat.

Now he's in trouble for yelling a highly offensive phrase out loud in a crowded public area. That's really stupid if you're Joe Blow, much less a celebrity. After all the trouble he's been in, public apologies he's spewed, & second chances he's been given, he's still out acting like a child.

IMO, there's two issues.

1- He's spoiled. He knows he can say or do anything without repercussions and thinks he's above the law.

2- He's just flat out stupid. Some people are just careless idiots.

As anyone who ever served in the military would attest, if he was in the military and had he gone to NJP or Article 15 each time he fugged up like this, he'd be getting discharged (kicked out) under less than honorable conditions right about now.

And, yeah, this comment about sums it up- "I'll take "Old People Over-Reacting" for $200, Alex...." for a generation that just doesn't get it. He's the fugging Heisman Trophy winning QB of the NCAA National Championship football team... you don't think there are different standards for him over some OL kid at a D-3 school in Cowturd, USA? Get a clue. He's the biggest name in college football, the face of college football and he's acting like an irresponsible, immature child.

Yeah you're right. Your generation doesn't get it.
