So why are the two cops there?  Is that normal?

Maybe they are just checking out a practice.

You never know what can happen when the media frenzy begins.  The whole nation knew they were meeting today, so there's a chance of women's rights activists, angry fans, etc.  It's just precautionary.

Thanks! Can't wait to hear what the mood of the team is right now. I know this circus has to be getting to them. I hope it doesn't have too much of an impact come game day.

Oh, I can tell you that right now. The team is tired of talking about it.

In the locker room Sunday Hardy is all reporters would ask about to all the players, so the locker room emptied very quickly. One reporter, who shall remain nameless, kept pressing Luke on it. Luke told him straight up he was done discussing it and not to ask again.

I retract my earlier post in this thread based on new information posted on NFL.com

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000396169/article/what-is-the-exempt-list

"The Exempt List is a special player status available to clubs only in unusual circumstances. The List includes those players who have been declared by the Commissioner to be temporarily exempt from counting within the Active List limit. Only the Commissioner has the authority to place a player on the Exempt List; clubs have no such authority, and no exemption, regardless of circumstances, is automatic. The Commissioner also has the authority to determine in advance whether a player's time on the Exempt List will be finite or will continue until the Commissioner deems the exemption should be lifted and the player returned to the Active List."

Essentially, Peterson can remain on the list for an undetermined period of time -- while he gets paid -- and doesn't take up one of the Vikings' roster spots.

This would be very similar to Hardy's situation.

Essentially this is our FO's worst nightmare. We franchise tagged an elite player at his position, and now he won't play but will still get paid. This is some BS
