Goodell needs to be fired

The Brandon Marshall story.

The people whom Budweiser pays several million dollars a year in endorsements care a lot what they think.

That matters little and they won't pull any significant dollars if they pulled completely coors or miller would be calling in seconds. Sponsors are only doing this for appearance.

Where the hell has Goodell and the NFL been for the past week? Its like they crawled into a hole and pulled a lid over themselves. Complete lack of leadership. Goodell needs to be terminated.

Agreed. Let's grab our lanterns and pitchforks and go. He is guilty and he is a liar. Fire the self serving liar.

Wouldnt that mean in the situation you seem to want, the NFL would have decided weeks ago to suspend Hardy?

He was CONVICTED. Sure, its all bullshit and yes..he is appealing...but in the land of heavyhanded "leadership" you seem to be asking for, Hardy would not have even been at camp.

Where he screwed up is with a 2 game suspension for rice. 2 games! Knocks his fiance out cold and is given 2 games. He failed as the leader. Now it's much bigger than it should be. Fire him!

Word that Goodell has called a press conference today at 3pm.

Seriously doubt it's anything so big as a resignation.  More likely meant to talk up the League initiatives and the memo he sent to all 32 teams today.  Might also answer some questions about Procter and Gamble's pullout.

Unlike the Panthers press conferences, this one will probably start on time

He needs to GO!!!

He alone could have ended the media firestorm by standing up the media by saying "each state has its own unique laws and we are working with each team and state to find the best solution, but it all boils down to innocent until PROVEN guilty by the laws of that state"

with him going into hiding and letting ESPN run rabid over the whole issue, he has lost all power and will be questioned on each and every decision going forward.

We need new leadership at the top.

    • I went on a solo elk hunt in the Flat Tops. It was awesomely miserable. LOL It was a late season hunt, I think third season and it was forecasted to snap off cold with highs in the upper thirties and lows in the single digits. fug it, I'm going anyway. They were wrong. The highs were in the low 20s and the lows were in the negative teens. I shivered so hard the first night I thought my teeth were going to break. It was the only time I've ever been legit concerned that I might be in trouble. Crawled out of my sleeping bag and got a fire started and suffered through the night bundled up next to the fire. I slept the next two nights literally wearing every stitch of clothing I'd brought with Nalgenes full of near boiling water in the bottom of my sleeping bag. That was the only way to have non-frozen water in the morning anyway. There was about a foot of snow on the ground and the melt/freeze crust was almost enough to support your weight but you'd go crashing through just as you went or make your step. It was exhausting travel and every step sounded like a rifle shot. Hunting was basically impossible. I never saw an elk in those four days, only saw 5-6 deer. LOL It was brutal but I loved it. Absolutely beautiful country that is never been to before and haven't been back since. I needed that four day complete break from society fighting for my life against the elements. I'm weird like that.
    • The lack of production is especially surprising given how much effort the team put into coaxing the best from him.  In just six short years he’s had the opportunity to work with 3 different GMs, 7 different head coaches and 10 different starting quarterbacks.  There’s literally no excuse to be made that one of those combos didn’t work.  It might be time to look withIAN.
    • I would say maybe 8 in a tier by themselves and all but 2 where picked in the top of the first allen pat m stroud burrow jackson hurts (maybe) Herbert Stafford
