The Greg Hardy thread....for everything Hardy related

What do you think will happen to Hardy in free agency after this year? He was set to become one of the highest paid DEs this off season. It wouldn't shock me if Hardy signed a more cap friendly 1 yr deal with the panthers in order to get past the domestic violence issue and then try to get back to the big contract the following year.

read it fanboys.  than think twice.  if that was someone you knew or cared about you might feel differently.  you kids are what is wrong with this NFL.  i do not care if this was Peyton Manning, Jim Kelly, or anyone else - this is ridiculous.

I see a lot of this in the article: "According to Holder..." "Holder says..."

I'm not saying Hardy didn't do anything. I'm saying WE don't know that because, unlike what you and the national media seem to believe, hearsay != evidence.

In no way, shape, or form will Greg Hardy will be a Carolina Panther next year, unfortunately.  Regardless of the money.

Where in the Constitution does it list the right to play in the NFL?

You have mistaken my comment...

Salem Witch trials at work now... Nothing to see here.

Let the process play out.

We the PEOPLE have the right to due process and the presumption of innocence until found guilty BY A JURY OF THIER PEERS...

Last capitalize point is the main point....

Welcome to the discussion Peter King, or is this Bob Costas??

So you quote a Peter King article as your source.

You are what's wrong with the people.  Your a sheep, just believe what your told.

Maybe Hardy is guilty.  But he is guilty of a MISDEMEANOR.  NO INJURIES.

Rice was charged with a FELONY!  McDonald was arrested for a FELONY!  Peterson charged with a FELONY!

I am quoting testimony and police affadavits.  Learn the difference.

In this world crying for torte reform no one should be surprised that a charge was reduced or a plea deal made or any of the nonsense that goes on in a courtroom.  Besides that they are two separate states with different laws.

Why?

As an organization if we stood by our man, seen it through and then he is found NOT GUILTY we can say: "hey look at us, we are not bitches and GH is innocent. HE has paid dearly in the media, now its time to get back to football.

If he is guilty- cut him and be done...

Same outcome right??

And I don't care what position he plays, this is about respecting a persons rights and not playing into fear tactics...

Then quote BOTH sides of testimony.  Did you read about flying weed that Holder testified about?

Like I said, maybe he's guilty.  But there's a reason he was only charged with a misdemeanor.   Because there was no bodily harm.

Ok, I'll bite/help you.  You're really going to BELIEVE in your constitution as a human being that Sports Illustrated is the end all be all of the formulation of your understanding/opinion on this incident?  Where in there have they interviewed Greg Hardy, posted any evidence of said injuries, etc, etc.  Do I really have to hold your hand and lead you to the only official, factually documents available (original sources are out there and very easy to find): the police report, the cause for warrant application, the (dismissed) application for a restraint order against Hardy, and the 911 calls audio and/or transcript.  Hell throw in the twitter court "testimony" and the extremely UN-natural procedure of that 10 hour bench trial and there you go.  LEARN.  READ.  REPEAT.  You'll feel better about yourself once you realize reading and enjoying the entertainment provided by SI/ESPN/MSM and having a fundamental understanding of facts CAN and are mutually exclusive in many cases.  And this is one of them.

I believe in innocent until proven guilty but this entire event reeks of nonsense and smoke.  So much smoke that there is a fire.

He'll be signed as quickly as possible.

Did you hear Hardy called 911 to his place?  How many domestic abusers do that, how rare is that?  It's been confirmed the person who "saw" Hardy beating Holder, was lying through her teeth in trial.  Did you know Holder was on coke that night?  Hardy wasn't even arrested that night, so it seems her injuries didn't match the report she gave. (Which she gave it later and not that night).  Both parties said Hardy's manager/friend held Holder down that night.  If Hardy was beating the mess out of her, why wasn't Hardy's friend charged as an accomplice?  There are so many holes in this girl story, it's almost laughable.  Laughing is what you would have been doing if you followed the trial the day it was held.  Hardy will probably be found innocent in November, and all of yall will probably crawl back into your holes, along with the media.

Her being high on coke doesn't mean anything.  She didn't deserve to be touched at all.  And Hardy calling 911?  A crazy moron would call 911.  He is both.

I agree with you.  I'm just saying I know JR won't allow Hardy back.

Just the way it is.  Voth said that was the case before this whole hoopla started.

It wouldn't work because the media would be back after he sat out 6 games simply because his case still wasn't resolved.  By the way, if Hardy is playing before his court day, chances are he will push the trial back until after the season.  I want this stuff resolved before the season end.  I don't want to be in the playoffs, and the media is still talking about this case.  The only thing we can do at this point, is to sit him out and wait for the trial to settle the issue.

6 weeks is plenty of time for the news to blow over. If you think about it Ray rice's issue lasted about a week or 2 then it got blown over until the video hit. The AP issue has now taken the spot light over the rice issue. It is like gossip, things are interesting for a week or 2 and then some other news pops up and everyone is talking about that next.

He should be banned until he gets treatment, at least until 2015.

The guy was found guilty and it wasn't just a left hook to the face and dragging out of the elevator. It was a beat down of mega proportions and the guy has rage issues, clearly, beyond being a major dumbass.

This doesnt even deserve a logical and well thought out response

Ban this fug head now please. Why are you even here? Go be an idiot on some shitty Buffalo Bills board. I say again, why the fug are you consistently polluting a panthers fan board with your poo presence?

We can agree on one thing, at least. Definitely a whole lot of nonsense and smoke in this whole situation. The problem is that it's coming from both sides, not just one.
