The Greg Hardy thread....for everything Hardy related

Remember guys, you can subject animals to unthinkable cruelty, kill your teammates while drunk driving, murder people yet still play in Baltimore, but if you are accused of laying a hand on a woman you will be out of the league.

agreed. for this matter one could also add... if you lay a hand on a woman in NC you'll get deactivated before trial completion. Furthermore, you could argue Hardy's punishment was worse than Ray's original punishment. Ray is banned because it came down on the Boss. The truth is the truth! Yet McDonald's is facing the potentially worst of all the players charged and I bet he gets off. smh

How is he facing felony charges?  He hasn't even been charged.  How do you know he will be charged with a felony?

lol... dude, facing as in "if convicted" once the court "concludes" judgment. "Convicted of/formally charged" means the court "formally charged" you with whatever charges you were "facing".... For example Hardy was facing misdemeanor charges and the court charged him, however the charge has been appealed meaning retried for a later date and reversible. For a second example, players face 6 game suspension for a first time domestic offense and a lifetime ban for a second time offense, thus at this point all player "face" these scenarios if they commit the offense. I hope we're good... lol

Yes Ray McDonald has not formally been charged with anything "pending" the court outcome. The charge he is facing is potentially worse than Hardy for obvious reason and its a Felony. smh

This is the risk you take when using the franchise tag. With a contract you can add conduct verbage to cover your ass in a situation, especially with a sketchy player.I'm sure the Panthers have learned a hard lesson with this one.
