The NFL is just laughable right now.  Not so much directly from the Hardy situation, and I'm not laying the sole blame on him but he allowed this to happen no matter how you want to look at it.  He made the choice to hang out with her and get her up to his place.  If he didn't, he could have tried to get her out of his way wayyyy before his apartment incident.    

 

At the end of the day, the NFL is a business.  One that arguably gets more coverage than any other in the public realm, has major sponsors and just overall has a lot of pull in society.  

 

As a company, if they are gonna be this high and mighty should hold themselves to a higher standard at the get go.  Right now, if a guy has the talent, virtually any type of conduct is permitted barring the public forcing them to make a move.  

 

I'm sorry but there needs to be a higher moral standard.  It shouldn't take the minimum requirements of our country and its legal system to remain an employee for this company when they're making millions upon millions and have a big societal impact on the population.  It's like if you have the talent, nothing else matters.  How the hell is Pacman Jones still in the league and Ray Lewis on ESPN?  

 

So suddenly the masses decide to get all up in arms about 4 guys that did different things at different times to make themselves, team, and company look idiotic to make this a thing to address?  It's the media taking advantage and the public going full crazy.  For f*ck's sake, we're still giving Chris Brown awards and having him perform constantly on these major shows...no one seems to care about that for some reason.  That's the ridiculous thing.    

 

This is all on the NFL for having all of these situations blow up in their faces at once.  The inaction, bending the truth, keeping these guys employed, there's just too much crap in the image.  

 

Goodell is directly to blame for this.  Making himself judge and jury for disciplinary matters, giving Rice 2-games knowing VERY well what he did regardless of a video (don't forget the dragging the limp body one), and now everything collides midst a media sh*tstorm.  HOW IS THIS GUY NOT FIRED? And why do the owners support everything he's let happen??

Hardy sent her to Miami, saying he would meet her there. He never did. When she got back all her crap was packed up and out of his place. Welp.

Yup, me neither - he claims he's innocent so I think he's entitled to a presumption of innocence until he's had his full day in court. 

 

Suspending players based on accusations is a very slippery slope.
