This is getting ridiculous. I didn't cancel the event because of dumb people's rants on social media. I cancelled the event because of the threatening emails I received from psychotic fans. There are crazy people in this world.

 

 

looks like SCP/MHs emails did it!

Have to admit tho, that's a lil stupid if ppl were threatening him in that way. threatening not to attend the events and such is one thing.. but, Wow.

I give Carolina Nightlife credit for admitting they were wrong here and for taking the high road in canceling the event. I am an event creator so I know what he was trying to do. As a Panthers fan I forgive him for inviting the Steelers to takeover our city. 

 

Hunter Wilson Jenna Gribble, we were trying to offer a different event for the Charlotteans that are Steeler fans. Not all of our events tailor to everyone's interests, I know that. I made a mistake with this one and will be canceling the event today. We/I am not a Steelers fan. However, I am Charlottean and I recognize that a great deal of my neighbors in Charlotte are Steeler fans. I respect their interest as I hope they would respect mine and was trying to offer an event that was for them. My apologies.

I feel kinda bad now for telling them to move to Pittsburgh.

Hmm, take back my last post. Anybody else kinda ticked that they cancelled it because of threats and not because they realized how insulting it was to host a Steelers bar crawl in CLT for a Panthers game?

lol, just got a FBook message from the owner of Lazyday giving me props. and offering me some comped tickets for their bar crawl.

 

unfortunately, I think we will be at the beach on Saturday!

 

told him thanks for stepping up and humiliating the fact that someone had the audacity to host a Steelers bar crawl in our city, PLUS he's made all proceeds from this crawl go to Second Harvest Food Bank

 

He stated he is not out for profit, more out to shove it back in the planner's faces and have a presence known on Saturday night downtown (cuz you know all the trash will be out in full effect on SAturday)
