Whiskey River is going full retard

Our home field advantage sucks, anyways. Empty seats were in abundance against Detroit, and the stadium was 25% Lions fans. Also, I was told to sit down when I stood up on third downs. I was in the 500s.

You weren't sitting next to 4-5 Detroit fans by any chance were you?? with a black tshirt on?

how dare these places cater to fans that are here year 'round...

"this week is our make or break for the year"

not really surprised tho.... any bars I find here in WS are only part time Panther bars. every 3-5 years. :(

until the Panthers put together a 10 year winning streak it will always be this way.

How come im just now realizing you live in W-S... That's my hometown..

Maybe when I move back I can open up a Panther bar then!

My conversation with the owner of Carolina Night Life, man he is really bitter/butthurt

H#$%^&,

I apologize for blowing up Carolina Night Life like I did, and that certainly was not my intention to come at you personally.

I will say that it was absolutely outrageous that a bar crawl would be held here in support of an opposing team's fanbase and I was not okay with that. THANK YOU for apologzing and canceling the event, really shows that you are a great guy and willing to step up.

I didn't cancel the event because of 'awesome Carolina Panthers fans'. I cancelled it because of the retorted people who were threatening me. You can be a fan of whomever you like.

I appreciate your message.

*retarded

BOO: regardless of whatever you want to say on why you canceled it, that's fine.

it should have been canceled just based on the slap in the face we as local fans felt

i was very surprised that you were willing to put it on considering your a panthers fan and from charlotte

All I got after that was "ok"

He's definitely biting his tongue a bit and knowing he can't say much to me, but from what I have heard from other people who know him, he is more of a $$$ guy so he really only cared about that and getting it from all of those Steelers fans.

Well I, for one, am glad that his greediness got the best of him this time around and he canceled his stupid fuging bar crawl.

I want to say THANK YOU to #roaringriot for your awesome inside work with this. Yes its a free country, yes there are a lot of Steeler fans in Charlotte and yes they could make some money doing this.

But I can tell you if someone tried doing this in Pittsburgh odds are their bar would be lit on fire and there is no problem at all with us local fans taking a stand against such a big event. There are plenty of "Steelers bars" in town, let them go nuts. The idea of a big local spot like Epicentre kowtowing to opposing team fans is indeed an insult and we could make a negative impact on Panthers events held there in the future. Heck I have an event planned at Howl for our Canadian chapters visit and would cancel it in a heartbeat if it sounded like it would help this effort.

I needed to lay low on this one because I'm friends and colleagues with those guys. But I'm glad that people took the bait I was hanging out there and ran with it. Wasn't right for me to lead the charge but those who did were effective. Never wanted to trash the bars or anything, just wanted to make it clear that our community and fans weren't going to tolerate it.

Changing the culture one instance at a time.....
