Watching the Colts Eagles game

Was hoping the eagles would lose. Despite the dislike for luck, you never pull for an NFC team over an afc team (unless panther tiebreakers are involved)

it really doesnt matter because we do play them later in the season for tie breaker purpose but an Eagle lost would have been nice.

Chip Kelly on Andrew Luck:

(mentally)

"He's the smartest guy you're going to go against... he's one of the most intelligent guys that we've faced and certainly that we'll face in this league. He's in that Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, Tom Brady [category] from a mental standpoint, he's always on.

...

(physically)

He can do it all. ... he can make every throw in the book ... He's 6'4, 235 pounds ... When you look at him, the first thing that strikes you is how big he is in person ... and he also runs 4.65. So what separates Andrew from a lot of other great quarterbacks is he has the ability to extend plays, not only staying in the pocket, but he can hurt you running the football. I don't know the number, but you can look it up. He had a lot of 50 plus runs in college, and that's kind of a rare thing for any quarterback that size. Usually you get a smaller quarterback that can beat you with his feet and he's really nimble and can do all these other things... he really has the whole package."

Then TPTB @ EPSN/NFLN sent him his check..

I simply can't with these liars. They will sell snake oil to a damn snake. SMDH

Luck's pick should've been a defensive PI Colts got robbed. I hate Foles and the Eagles. Foles blows that game without those little bullsh*t screen passes to Sproles going for 150 yards.

Yeah, because Maclin didn't get tackled going down the sideline either.  One team overcame a bad/missed call, the other team didn't.

I see the Eagles as one of the biggest threats to us in the NFC. That offense is capable of breaking our defense.

Did you feel the same way about Detroit?

Come on. Be honest. Lol.

Yeah, they do have a good offense, and excellent players no doubt.

Luckily, their defense sucks. And the Panther offense should be able to move the ball against them.

    • It would be a Legette-type pick, if you ask me.  I think drafting Jones may have reduced his lust for Stewart.  To me, all signs point to Walker or CB Will Johnson (let me explain:  If the defensive front becomes our strength, then the offense will throw it more. If Moehrig becomes a box safety, that might indicate that we are in a cover three look a lot.  Johnson is a zone CB, but Horn and Jackson can man up and press if needed. Smith-Wade then becomes the Dime back, as God intended.  If all this is how they are thinking, Will Johnson is attractive at #8).  I still see a free agent WR in our future.  It is also noteworthy that what I just described requires a smart, athletic FS.  There are some good S in the draft, but not a FS who can cover the field as a cover 3 deep S if necessary--the kid from South Carolina stands out. Just speculating--I have no idea what the are doing-hope they do.
    • Falcons make another move at cornerback The Falcons re-signed cornerback Mike Hughes on Tuesday, and now, they've added even more depth at the position. Mike Ford has agreed to a two-year, $4 million deal with the Browns, according to ESPN.  The former Browns corner didn't start any games last season, but he did see action in all 17 games for Cleveland. It's a return to Atlanta for Ford, who spent the 2022 season with the Falcons.
    • I definitely see Robinson on early downs; I am confident that they rotate.  Brown, on the other hand, likes to stay in the game, but that may make him injury prone.
