Peter King busted

totally agree on the comparison. And Hardy should get whatever punishment is due when the time comes for it. Not because of some media hand wringing and knee jerk reactions.

I guess the argument is....

You can punish Hardy now under the same context Big Ben was punished.

Then let his trial play out and handle that based on the reports. Hindsight, Carolina should of suspended him for maybe 2 games and then let it play out noting they would let the process play out. We would probably have some pretty smooth sailing now

His excuse was that he didn't say he read the transcript, in the article he just says you should read the transcripts... which dont exist.

So I am starting the Peter King book club where people recommend things for others to read that don't actually exist

Jase recommended "Calm Rationality" by Steve Smith

I heard Mark Schlereth refer to Greg Hardy as "Convicted of two felonies". Greg Hardy was convicted of 2 misdemeanors and ordered to serve 60 days in jail. If he had served time, he would already be out.

King wants the Panthers to sit Hardy until his trial...that's 8 or 9 games away. If found guilty the league would only suspend him for 6 games...this entire situation is asinine.

They are calling this "the worst week in the NFL" Hardy gets thrown in but he didn't do anything during this "worst week". It's very sensational when we know DV, drugs, and crime have been a part of the NFL since the beginning. The media has been on a tear with articles asking us if we should watch the NFL and if they should report on the NFL. Why now? Peter King has been in the business for decades, he never pondered this before? The media outrage comes off as biting the hand that's fed them.
