Peter King busted

Oh Peter you fat potato headed ass. Why hasn't the court punished Hardy? Because he is entitled to a trial by jury to decide his fate. He could be found guilty, or innocent by a jury of his peers. An elected judge with a dog in the fight is not his peer. It would be political suicide for Judge Tin to find Hardy innocent given the giant spotlight on the case. That's why we in this backward state allow for a jury trial.

It's possible that Hardy will be found innocent of the charges. What will King, who is only interested in drawing attention to his bullshit opinion pieces, do when is Hardy is found innocent? Write another piece about how the Panthers were wrong for punishing Hardy before his trial? Nope. That fat ass will sweep his bullshit opinion under the bottom of his muumuu with all the other poo he's been wrong about over his awful career.

Ok, I caved and clicked the link for the mmqb article. I was struck by:

"The only reason Greg Hardy hadn’t been suspended before coach Ron Rivera had the common sense (or the direction from embarrassed Panthers owner Jerry Richardson) is because—as Jon Wertheim and Emily Kaplan of SI and The MMQB wrote this weekend—there wasn’t a video, the way there was with Ray Rice. But read the trial testimony, and pore over the guilty verdict, and you’ll understand why so many people are outraged that Hardy played in Week 1, or will play at all for Carolina this season."

Read the trial testimony?

What trial testimony?

Where was this level of eagerness to prove guilt with Ben Rothlesberger when he was accuse of rape...twice in less than a year?  I thought a man was innocent until proven guilty. I guess that too also depends on the individual. SMH

Big Ben got 6 games reduced to a 4 game suspension.....and never was charged with a crime he even had to defend himself against

Big Ben is a bad example to defend Hardy. No charge...4 game suspension, no pay, not allowed in team facilities

Hardy has a charge, a judge convicted him....thus far one deactivation

I got in on it, but I can't be a dick when talking about the legal system, which I try and uphold every day. The guy is obviously extremely biased, and for good reason: he would get blacklisted if he wrote a neutral piece about such a hot button topic, the readers thinking he supports Hardy. He has an agenda, and it's to keep a job. If he wants to compromise his scruples and lie about a court transcript while IGNORING the 911 call that ACTUALLY exists, well, then that's on him. All we can do is learn and know who he is, ignore it, and stop getting our feelings hurt. Me, I'm ecstatic we're 2 AND FREAKING 0, BABY!!!!!

That charge goes away when he gets a jury trial. I know, semantics, but it is important. Here Kurb posted this on twitter, It explains it.

Point was of that post....

He still has a lot more against him than Big Ben.....he wasn't even charged and got 4 games, no pay, and banned from facilities

So the semantics don't matter in that comparison. Big Ben remains a bad example IMO

totally agree on  the comparison. And Hardy should get whatever punishment is due when the time comes for it. Not because of some media hand wringing and knee jerk reactions.
