Lions/Panthers - Huddle Tailgate Photos

I saw a guy and a kid walk by my tailgate wearing Panther jerseys with Calicatpack on the back. Were those your buddies? I was going to say something but was busy cooking and really didn't know what to say. "Hey are you on the Huddle?" would have made me look like a strange mofo.

I'm actually on a flight to LA as I type this. Hitting San Diego and LA this week.

What parts of San Diego? Perhaps I can throw out some good beer spots.

I was at the Angel game Saturday in Anaheim, had pregame dugout access etc, met Mike Trout. It was fugging hot! One little 10 year old gal in the group passed out cold in the dirt by the dugout. Weather is whack in SoCal right now.

Mike's a super nice guy. I've talked to him a couple times and he signed my Trout jersey before.

Met Justin Verlander and Kate upton on Sunday. Joba Chamberlain was playing beer pong at the bar. Had to pitch the next day, walked the first two he faced and then they pulled him lol. Guy looked like crap. Can't say I blame him.

I'm in Irvine now. Maybe throw some out for next time i'm there?

You've had a Sculpin, which is a fantastic start. You have to check out the Ballast Point brewery in Little Italy. Sculpin is their most popular but they have so many good stouts and porters too. Victory at Sea might be the best poo they brew.

Green Flash in Mira Mesa is just phenomenal.

Modern Times in Point Loma would round out my top 3.

Then of course, there's always Stone. The brewery and gardens they have in Escondido is a must. Plus they have the best bathrooms in all of the SD breweries. Go straight for the Oaked Arrogant Bastard or the Ruination.

I'm thirsty now.

p.s. To get to Stone from the 5, you'd have to take the 78 highway east, known locally as the "hop highway" as there are over 15 breweries that line the highway from Oceanside to Escondildo.

That's my .02 /end beer nerdgasm

fug the steelers.
