Have several Steeler fans in our office and all of them think they are going to get stomped Sunday night.

 

Because they've played so poorly their last 6 quarters, I would be very wary of them (can it get any worse).

 

The Panthers, cannot take them softly, and must bring their A game.

Key's to a panthers victory over Pittsburgh

 

#1.  Contain Bell.  I've watched both their games, and he looks like a top 5 back right now.  Very shifty since he has lost weight, and catches the ball out of the backfield well.

 

#2.  Pressure/contain Big Ben.  I think we need to eliminate Ben from wiggling out of the pocket.  The front four needs to collapse it from all sides and avoid him making a "Big Ben" play.

 

#3.  Limit Antonio Brown (whether that be in the passing game, running game, or the return game).

 

#4.  Attack their aggressive defense with screens and mis-direction.

 

This Pittsburgh team reminds me a lot of the Lions.  They have a good offense and some nice weapons.  The defense is living off of the reputation of a key big name player (Suh-Polamalu).  We should be able to run the ball better this week than against the Lions.

This is our chance to possibly convert a few of the NC Steeler fans to Panther fans, because we all know the stadium will be 40-50% Steeler fans. I doubt we can get the older Steeler fans, but we can get the younger ones. Need to go out there and win this, Sunday.

If this was 2-3 years ago, literally half of the stadium would be Steelers fans. And it would look really embarrassing on tv with all that awful yellow crap and towels. Since Carolina looks even better, and Pitt looks like complete garbage, I wonder if some of the Steeler bandwagon will pass up the game? They all seem to think they're gonna get their ass reamed on prime time.

There are even more Steelers fans than Cowboys around here. Some are actually from Pennsylvania, but the majority are just bandwagon fans. Pittsburgh has 2 Super Bowls & the most playoff wins outside of New Englanx over the last 10-15 years. That's why. Nothing more than front runners who will magically become "lifelong Panther fans" if the current trend continues for another year or two.

Might be wishful thinking, but I don't think the infestation will be as bad as many think.

Oh it's gonna be bad. Hell there were "Let's go Lions" chants at our home opener yesterday. Lots of empty seats. Steeler trash will fill them.

They don't look good. Leveon Bell has been the only bright spot. Bell is an absolute beast and could end up being the best RB in the NFL in a year or two. Their offense aside from Bell looks bad and their defense is not the defense you think about when you think about a Steelers defense. Mike Mitchell has looked absolutely horrible and he basically was responsible for two Ravens scoring drives last Thursday night.

Honestly, this looks like a game we win - easily.

Mitchell looked like garbage last year, not sure why so many people are surprised. I didn't understand why do many people liked his bum ass, he got burnt all the time and always got stupid penalties. I guess because he runs his mouth and tries decapitating everyone.

No playmakers on the outside other than Brown, no pass rush, secondary is shaky, poor O-line,. If we do what were suppose to we'll dominate.

I wasn't really concerned about Tampa Bay and Detroit as much as many here and in the media.

 

However, the Panthers can't be lax going into this game. Pittsburgh has played too bad recently to continue playing that way.

 

Not saying Panthers can't roll the Steelers. They can. They just need to be very professional, and go about their business as they have been!
