So the Steelers...

ItsNotGonnaBeAlright

I haven't seen a minute of their play outside of that meaningless preseason game. On paper, they look fairly substandard, but their first two games were against division rivals and we all know divisional games are just "different". So would someone be so kind as to clue me in on what we're looking at this Sunday?

Thanks so much. <3 you.

They don't look good. Leveon Bell has been the only bright spot. Bell is an absolute beast and could end up being the best RB in the NFL in a year or two. Their offense aside from Bell looks bad and their defense is not the defense you think about when you think about a Steelers defense. Mike Mitchell has looked absolutely horrible and he basically was responsible for two Ravens scoring drives last Thursday night.

Honestly, this looks like a game we win - easily.

Panthers 30

Steelers 13

From the CBS Sports recap of their weak showing against the also weak Ravens-

"Pittsburgh will look for more Week 3 against the Panthers."

More of a whupping, that is. The Steelers have been outscored 50-9 since halftime of their 1st game against Cleveland.

No way Steelers score more than 10 if we held a better offensive team to 7 points (although Detroit should have been around 17 points)

They have a weak defense, they arent as disciplined, they have nothing special on their offense that worries me, regardless of who is running the ball.

Only thing that bothers me is that this isn't a real home game for us.  Watch it be like 50% Steeler fans next Sunday.

If this was 2-3 years ago, literally half of the stadium would be Steelers fans. And it would look really embarrassing on tv with all that awful yellow crap and towels. Since Carolina looks even better, and Pitt looks like complete garbage, I wonder if some of the Steeler bandwagon will pass up the game? They all seem to think they're gonna get their ass reamed on prime time.

There are even more Steelers fans than Cowboys around here. Some are actually from Pennsylvania, but the majority are just bandwagon fans. Pittsburgh has 2 Super Bowls & the most playoff wins outside of New Englanx over the last 10-15 years. That's why. Nothing more than front runners who will magically become "lifelong Panther fans" if the current trend continues for another year or two.

Might be wishful thinking, but I don't think the infestation will be as bad as many think.

Regarding the number of Steelers fans that will be there: I hope it's high. Nothing gives me more pleasure than knowing those asshats paid top doller to come watch their team get whipped in person.

That sentiment goes for all other fan bases actually. First we take their money, then we crush their dreams. Welcome to The Vault.

Steelers are a 3-4 defense and they usually give our offense fits, especially running the ball.  That being said their secondary is slow and old, their lb's, outside of Timmons, is not that good.  Nothing really to be scared of unless LeBeau just throws the book at our OL and confuses the crap out of them, which is possible.

Bell is good.  Their OL is bad and has been now for some time.  If Hardy starts this game or not expect a lot of pressure on Ben.
