Carolina is... (Primetime's Take)

Yea, Deion is a believer.  I wish I coulda understood what Irvin chuckle mumbled when Deion said "Carolina is real."  Something to the effect of oh yea, they're real.  Always love those two guys, even when they're picking against Carolina or not speaking in a positive manner about Carolina they're not dismissive or disrespectful about the team.  Those guys like Carolina.

Michael Iring: "chuckle, Carolina is real."

I think that when Deion interviewed Cam before he was drafted that he really became a fan of him. "Cam, Whoooa CAM!"

I think that sometimes we're looking for certain people to like the Panthers to validate us... But the people who have actually played at a high level recognize real.

Also thought it was interesting that ... As much as I loathe the Cowboys... The Panthers have gotten much love from the former Cowboy dynasty... Deion, Michael Irving, and Troy Aikman. If you're going to get respect from the Cowboys.

Great post and this is why I don't even listen to imbeciles like Merril Hoge.  There are so many bums with a microphone in their face hating on ballers.

NFL Network has slowly developed Panther love these past couple seasons. Other than Warren Sapp's fat ass that predicted Bucs to destroy us(lol!) everyone else on there is feeling the love. But it seems like the NFL Network isnt ready to give us airtime and i always feel the guys on there are rushed when talking about us.

A 2 second comment in a segment that wasn't even about us. You owe me two minutes of my life back and I expect to collect.

That actually is a GOOD thing. Carolina Panthers were actually mentioned in the beginning as one of the few teams to go to the playoffs after starting the season off 0-2.

There are many times in journalism where referencing someone else to validate a point you're making. Good players (IE: Peyton Manning) and great teams (IE: Seahawks) are often referenced in pieces that have nothing to do with them.

It is called RELEVANCE.

I see your 2 minutes... and I will raise you 4 minutes for the time it took me to read and respond to your flippant disregard. (and another 6% for my 2 cents.)

    • "It’s a tricky spot for Cincinnati to be in—finding a team to give up a premium pick and $30 million (or more) per year for a 31-year-old pass rusher isn’t easy," Breer wrote. "Hendrickson’s camp at one point told the Bengals they could bring home a first-rounder for him, but that hasn’t happened." After Cleveland Browns edge-rusher Myles Garrett signed a four-year, $160 million extension—with an NFL-record $123 million in guaranteed money for a non-quarterback—Cincinnati's negotiations will only get more difficult. Despite posting back-to-back 17.5-sack campaigns, one of the biggest hurdles for Hendrickson will be his age, as he’s set to turn 31 next season.
    • "The asking price for Trey Hendrickson was also very high," Wolfe said on Wednesday. "The Bengals are asking for a first-round pick and more I was told and teams are waiting that out and hoping that that market drops a little bit when the Bengals come down and maybe they can get that top pass-rusher." https://bleacherreport.com/articles/25170132-trey-hendrickson-trade-rumors-bengals-seek-1st-round-nfl-draft-pick-more-deal
    • I mean, whoever the scout is in charge of knowing the Gamecocks.....clearly gets listened too.   Gotta give him credit for that.
