First mistake... Watching ESPN.

We're always gonna have haters. We did something no one has done in a while and held Megatron under a hundred yards and no TD WITHOUT one of our better pass rushers and it doesn't get brought up. fug the media lets just win the Superbowl

Isn't he anti gay and loves to deep throat Jesus?

If you are asking if he is a Christian, the answer would be yes..... and.... If you are asking if he holds to his Christian beliefs that homosexuality is a sin, that would also be yes. However, that makes him no more of a douche than people who mock Christianity or any other religion for that matter

Regarless, he incorporates religion a little into his books but stays away from it for the most part. A lot of his teaching tools come from personal experience and incorporates a bunch of stories into his books and does it quite well.

No reason to cut Hardy. He gets found innocent in November and we have him back for the last month and playoffs. And until then we have a monster to continue helping our OTs improve in practice.

Personally I disagree. I'd love to have Hardy active, but right now it's a distraction and unwanted/unneeded negative attention. Distractions suck, and negativity among a community thriving for success sucks. A team defined by one persons poor judgement isn't worth it, regardless of his innocence unfortunately. He's most likely done here anyway, even if found innocent by trial, so save the headache and distraction now, and go ahead and cut. Just my opinion.

I respect your opinion but I don't think you realize that the media negativity doesn't affect the team or their play at all. They are clearly ignoring it completely and just playing. They are professionals, sh*t like this doesn't affect them. He may be done here after this year, but if found innocent he will absolutely, 100% be playing for us in December and January if we make the playoffs, and his playing could be the difference between a division win or a wildcard, or missing the playoffs. And could be the difference between going to the NFC championship game or Super Bowl and going 1 and done in the playoffs. We're not gonna pay him $13M just to cut him.

Here's some attention, since y'all are desperate for media approval. Rofl.

Carolina Panthers 24, Detroit Lions 7

1. Cam Newton looked excellent in his return. He didn't lose any of the velocity on his fastball, which he displayed often (22-of-34 passing for 281 yards and a TD). Newton showed some rust early, but spread the ball around to his receivers and picked apart the Lions' D. SuperCam isn't going to change the way he plays. He still got out and ran and looked mobile in space. The only question is the initial burst off the surgically repaired ankle. He got tackled on some plays he generally bounces out of.

2. The Panthers reminded us how tough-minded they are as a team. The offseason questions were answered: Carolina remains a legit playoff contender. The Panthers defense slowed down a high-powered offense and got pressure without Greg Hardy. This is still a very, very good defense without the pass rusher.

3. Some of the luster fell off Matthew Stafford following his glowing Week 1. The quarterback reverted to forcing passes to Calvin Johnson too often and woefully under threw Megatron on a ball that was picked off. Stafford still looks much more in control of the offense and displayed that improved footwork. However, the 26-year-old quarterbacks' improvement under Jim Caldwell is clearly a process.

Carolina 24, Detroit 9

The story of this game was Cam Newton, who played an excellent game despite battling sore ribs, a pretty good Detroit defensive line, and a pretty weak supporting cast. DeAngelo Williams was inactive, and Jonathan Stewart and Mike Tolbert rushed 19 times for 32 yards. Newton didn’t put up gaudy numbers, but averaged 7.1 ANY/A and looked good doing it.

After one of the best games of his career on Monday night, it looked like Matthew Stafford might have turned the corner.  Today was your classic bad Stafford game: 48 pass attempts, 1 touchdown, only 291 yards.  Calvin Johnson made one great catch, but otherwise was contained by what’s generally considered one of the worst secondaries in the NFL. Of course, Sunday would not have been complete without Megatron getting a touchdown taken off the board because, well, Megatron.

Joique Bell had 21 rush attempts or targets, compared to just 9 for Reggie Bush.
It appears as though the karma gods shined upon Carolina.  Sure, Carolina waited way too long, but the team did deactivate Greg Hardy before the game. His replacement, Mario Addison, had 2.5 sacks.

Big Takeaway: The Panthers may not be headed to a disastrous 2014 despite a terrible offseason on paper. The Lions may still be the Lions, despite looking fantastic in week 1. Given what happened at MetLife Stadium in week 2, that game may have said more about the Giants.

I think at some point we are going to have to stop watching national shows. Sunday was such a positive day and every network focused on negative story lines. I honestly feel cheated we as fans and Ron as the coach have to deal with this sort of coverage. We dominated the Lions vaunted offense. Calvin Johnson got his lunch ate by Decoud, the bargain bin safety we got to replace Mike Money Mitchell. Cam threw 12 completions to nobody, because apparently nobody plays Wide Receiver for us. We should be happy and talking about football. But I'm afraid I will turn on the radio tomorrow and hear nothing but negativity.
