We're a deep threat receiver away from having a nasty WR group, it's why I think losing Ginn was actually a bigger loss to the offense than Smith, we have nobody to replace that deep threat he had, even if he wasn't the best catcher, he always kept the defense guessing. If we can get Hill into shape then that could well be the answer

Ginn has a return TD that factors in.

He also has an annual $3.3mil salary that factors in. Neither are relevant to WR production, though.

Ginn had a TD, but also I don't get the point of this. These guys aren't Panther's anymore, let it go. Not to mention I think LaFell and Ginn are like 4th/5th on the depth chart on their new teams.

LaFell & Ginn are being paid 2nd/3rd option money by their teams. They're 4th/5th option in production because the suck.

Letting it go is exactly what all the whiners who said our WRs would be worse would love for us to do. We're expected to shut up and take it when they dish it out, then let it go when they're proven wrong.

It is relevant to comparing new WRs to old WRs because Ginn as a WR also contributed immensely to the return game. Philly has been solid so far, but losing Ginn in the return game was more than a minor loss.

You wanna pay Ginn $3.3mil to return punts & drop passes?

He wasn't even that great as a returner last year.

Well then maybe the OP should mentioned Steve Smith, which is really what everyone has been clamoring about since the offseason. He should probably also mention Benjamin's drops today which I've read over and over was Smith's biggest knock. I know some of my friends, and myself, really wanted to keep Ginn as well, but Smith was really the only offseason loss that I've had conversations about. LaFell was expected to be cut from what we saw last year.

He was a better returner than I've seen in a Panther uniform in about half a decade, but besides that I keep seeing you mentioning drops. I'd really like to see statistics, at their depth, of drops league wide compared to Ginn and Smith. LaFell I think everyone in Panther nation agreed was a goner by week 14 last season.
