I don't think we will use it much because it doesn't take time off the clock. If you have. A quick 3 and out when doing uptempo your defense won't have much time to rest. That's why teams usually only use it when the are down and not a lot of time left.

As with all shula games it had its good and bad play calling. The interior line got really beat up this game so that didn't help either.

THis has probably already been said before..but just to remind...

 

 

The general opinion around here (for the ones who are so eager to find fault rather than have faith) is that Shula sucks.

 

I love to call out mofos griping about Shula, or Bell, RR...etc...only to see he same people singing their praises after a decent or noteworthy performance.

 

Those people might as well be Falcons fans...because they are worse than Falcons fans in that they poo on this or that any chance they get, but then later come back to say something like " I have in the past said x, but now I say y"

 

GTFO with that mess, and learn the lesson that its better to not say stuff as if it is a definite foregone conclusion, and preface such diarrhea as an "opinion"

If you have a three and out any way your D will not have time to rest. Up tempo or slow as molasses. 

 

O should be about moving them chains, getting first downs, and scoring. 

 

It is obvious Cam and our O moves the ball better in a hurry up 70% pass and 30% run.

Our offense is about controlling the clock. It may not be fancy but gets the job done. It's hard to win if the other team is dominating time of possession. Not only do you keep your defense rested but you also keep the other teams offense off the field.

This is one reason why I support Shula. We did have a high octane offense, tops in the league but we wasn't winning. Offense is nice to watch but defense is here it's at.

We didnt have Star and Luke then. 

 

One would have to be blind to try an argue our offense doesnt do better when we go no huddle up tempo.
