Noticed late in the second quarter while we were on offense that the defense had an illegal hands to the face for 5 yards that I believe was declined.

The next play our team had an illegal hands to the face for 10 yards.

Why is it different for offense and defense?

Me personally. ..Refs were against us the whole time....even Rucker mentioned back to back holding on Star wasn't even called...fug deez refs sometimes they do what they want

So we win convincingly and the refs were still against us?  Take of the blinders.

It's basically a form of holding. 5 yards for defense and 10 on offense.

Was talking bout first half...and I was going by panther radio btw....at the end of the day history repeats itself when it comes to refs....will see u bitch and complain later in the season about it

This is my opinion, but I think the difference is when it's called on defense, it's a 5 yard penalty because the offense gets an automatic first down.  When it's called on the offense it's 10 yards and replay the down.

i'm not 100% sure, but on defense, it gives the offense an automatic first down. on offense, you lose 10 yards, but replay the down.

1. Intentional grounding of forward pass (safety if passer is in own end zone). If foul occurs more than 10 yards behind line, play results in loss of down at spot of foul.

15 Yards and Loss of Coin Toss Option

1. Team’s late arrival on the field prior to scheduled kickoff.
2. Captains not appearing for coin toss.

15 Yards (and disqualification if flagrant)

1. Striking opponent with fist.
2. Kicking or kneeing opponent.
3. Striking opponent on head or neck with forearm, elbow, or hands whether or not the initial contact is made below the neck area.

6. Malicious unnecessary roughness.
7. Unsportsmanlike conduct.
8. Palpably unfair act. (Distance penalty determined by the Referee after consultation with other officials.)

15 Yards and Automatic Disqualification

1. Using a helmet (not worn) as a weapon.
2. Striking or purposely shoving a game official.

1. Illegal equipment. (Player may return after one down when legally equipped.)

Touchdown Awarded (Palpably Unfair Act)

1. When Referee determines a palpably unfair act deprived a team of a touchdown. (Example: Player comes off bench and tackles runner apparently en route to touchdown.)

I don't think the refs were against us, they were just really inconsistent and I felt they didn't do a good job.
