Benjamin's One Handed Grab...

Let's not forget the catch he made in the end zone, that was led a little too far for him to get his second foot down.

He is a rookie, he will make mistakes. He reminds me of a taller/bigger Jerry Rice. Their strengths and style of play are very similar.

Stop after mistakes and your fine, now I think your high as fug

Either people are really young, or they never saw Rice play his rookie season. This is not about production. It is about style of play. They have many similarities. I have yet to see another receiver play the position like Rice did until now. Prior to Rice it was Fred Biletnikoff. That style of play is old school - a lost art. Too many receivers rely on speed, juking, and overpowering. A receiver who tracks the ball, high points the catch, has full body control in full stride, creates separation with leverage and stride/acceleration, and extends their catch radius with their entire body is rare. They are always open. You may find receivers who demonstrate one or two of these qualities if you are lucky, but all of these abilities and you are watching something special.

I will leave you with some reading material for those who only know the legends of players from the past.

Fred Biletnikoff  -  and  -  Jerry Rice

Enjoy.
