Panthers might deactivate Hardy?

Team officials uncertain of Hardy's status beyond this week.

In 2009 the Panthers gave Peppers $1 million per game. It looks like the Panthers are about to give Hardy $13 million for one game. Obviously a lot of good comes from using the franchise tag.

It would be more fair for the a Panthers to suspend him 6 games and get it over with but to deactivate him as some form of "pre-punishment" until his actual punishment is enforced is ridiculous.

Just like the NFL, should have suspended Rice for 6-10 games initially. And we all may never had to experienced any of this after.

Agreed but we failed to show backbone. I think that'll have an effect. It was incredibly stupid to suspend him now. We all knew what was coming. So why the fug did we even bother to activate him on Week One if they weren't going to see this through?

I'm just speechless.

In retrospect, if the Panthers would have suspended Hardy for 2-4 games with pay (kinda like how Goodell should have suspended Rice for 6-10 games with out pay), the Panthers wouldn't be in this situation now with Hardy.

No one would have said a thing about Hardy if he wasn't playing, especially when he was still awaiting his rightful day in court.

The Panthers rolled the dice, and it came up snake eyes, because of Goodell's foibles handling Ray Rice.

Oh well.

Wholeheartedly concur.  This is a complete fiasco on many levels.

The Panthers weren't in a "situation." If they felt they were, then they are idiots.

If the networks didn't threaten to blackout their games, which I doubt they can, THEN LET THE fuging MEDIA RUN THEIR MOUTHS AND IGNORE IT!

AT this stage it became a corporate/NFL thing, and Richardson bit.

Now let's see if SanFran plays ball to?

Fortunately for San Fran, there wasn't' a media witchhunt against McDonald (as of this moment). And quite honestly, I don't think there will be, because the National media respects and honors SanFran as a team much more than the Carolina Panthers.

Oh well/we'll see?
