One Small Tip for those with Laptops

I was watching some porn on my laptop and got too excited and jizzed all over it, I must of gave the damn thing an STD cause the repair shop said it has a nasty virus on it. I bought condoms.

or alternately you could just jam the straw from a can of compressed air into the vent and blow it out too.  if there's clumps of debris in there though it might be hard to dislodge

Um, I have a virus that I can't get rid of. It's some adware bullshit "Adware by Barrowser ShoPa" I've tried everything and I can't get rid of it. Cleaned everything, Even did the registry thing. It keeps appearing in my internet browser. I've searched google to see if there was a fix for this and there is but it did not fix it. I'm clueless as to what to do next.  

 

Any of you heard of this malware and know how to get rid of it?

Have you tried using Malwarebytes (aka MBAM?) ... It was freeware last time I checked.  Some malware is tricky and you have to run it with the internet connection off or even in safe mode.  Just try MBAM and see if that helps.  Good luck.

Keep googling man. I once had a nasty virus that took me all day to figure out. Only 1 site had the correct fix.

in addition to being designed like poo, there were multiple recalls for a variety of problems with several models in that series.  a bunch of video and overheating issues.

Yes sir. I have, It's what I have.  I can't get rid of it. I seriously don't know what to try next. 

 

1. Is MBAM showing the positive result for the adware?

2. What OS do you have? Windows XP/7/8? etc.

3. What Internet Browser are you using?

 

Before knowing those, what I might add is that maybe it's just showing a positive for an add-on type thing in your browser software that you can uninstall seperate from the actual uninstall of the original Browser Shop program.

 

Also, if none of this works, you might want to try using the HijackThis analysis.  You use HijackThis in a prescribed way and the log file generated is analyzed by people in a forum, such as BleepingComputer.  Read the instructions carefully before posting your generated log file because they are really keen on keeping redudant posts down.  I hope this helps.

 

EDIT: I'm assuming you've seen article such as this for typical removal.  Remember the program can have multiple names showing in the uninstall screen of a given program.  Speaking of uninstall, another handy tool in the attempt to clean your laptop is Crap Cleaner, or CCleaner.  Here it is, you want the free one obviously.
