Sam Mills statue?

Sorry this is not a thread about Hardy or Suh.

I just google on the internet and haven't seen any good photo of the Sam Mills statue (it looks so small in those pics), as you know it is a very important symbol of this franchise but I just barely see photos of it. There should be more information about this man and his statue, shouldn't there?

Just curious about it...

Sam Mills is more a legend than he was an amazing player. Not saying that he wasn't an amazing player, because he was, but he's a guy that was bigger than football, and that's the most important thing. Honestly, Saints fans and Panthers fans are the only places that legend is recognized, and he played on some really shitty Saints teams.

Mighty, I know you are in China so I'm not sure what types of video sites you have access to but search NFL Films Presents Sam Mills. It's a pretty lengthy video on his career. It's tough because not many people take interest in him so you don't find much on YouTube.

I will tell you the Statue is considerably bigger than Sam Mills was in person. He was a Steve Smith sized man playing middle linebacker. Incredible determination just to make a roster.

To help put this in perspective, Mills couldn't get a college scholarship at any level due to his height. He was a walk on, went undrafted, then couldn't even make a CFL roster due to his height.

He went on to become a muti-time All Pro selection and had his #51 retired by two teams.
