Canes lose first preseason game 4-3.

A lot of positives in the game.  Cam was not one of them.

The Canes have returned Clark Bishop, Brent Pedersen, Sergey Tolchinsky, Tyler Ganly, Josh Wesley, Kyle Jenkins, and Alex Nedeljkovic to juniors.

The camp roster now stands at 44.

I'm usually excited by now for Canes hockey.

Muller just sucked all the joy out of it for me. And it sucks more because I know I have to give Peters at least a year to get his system in decent form.

I just want a competitive team that doesn't disappear for entire periods at a time on a nightly basis.

Peters has me optimistic.  We'll see how I feel when we get to December.

Good showing tonight by the boys.

The Canes beat the New York Islanders 4-2 behind a solid performance from Ryan Murphy, Andrej Sekera, Jeff Skinner, and Nathan Gerbe.

The Canes were also amazing on the power play going 3/6.

Lindholm will probably be second line center.  Peters had to move him to fill the Staal hole.  I think we're finally going to see a top line of Skinner-Staal-Semin.  Also believe Cam will begin the season as the starter.
