I'll repost this.

Remember the media is liberal and liberals don't think logically - they think emotionally and right now they are very emotional and not thinking logically.  They want Hardy off the field period.

And, dumbest post in this thread.

Congratulations! You win!

It make take strength of character to suspend guys like Ray Rice but it also takes strength of character to not bend to the will of those who have their torches rushing to judge without all the facts gathered. I am glad Richardson and the Panthers aren't bending to the will of these people. Let Hardy's trial play out.

See those uninformed with the NC justice system actually believe he was found guilty and chose a bench trail by choice and appealed. I can understand that line of reasoning but that's not the case here. If only someone with a law degree and understanding of the NC legal system for misdemeanor crimes was able to inform the media the truth. It's a shame these days reporters don't do their due diligence anymore and basically everyone of them are just editorial opinion mongers.

He was, in fact, found guilty in a bench trial -- required for misdemeanors in NC. If he had not exercised his right to appeal, that conviction would have stood. Appeals to the Superior Court, where jury trials are held, are not automatic, as I understand it. He has, of course, appealed, so the process continues - the conviction and any sentence are on hold until the jury trial is held.

People are correct in saying he was convicted.

If and only, he rescinded his appeal. Anything else is now Superior Court > District Court.

That is the only way his current conviction could stand.

Fun reminder joe Scarborough murdered a girl and got away with it.

What's with the misinformation? Scarboroughs Coroner buddy ruled it an accidental death.

She fractured her skull in 3 places when she unexplicable fell, apparently striking her head on the carpeted office floor. [sarcasam]

Fact: he was convicted

Fact: he has appealed

Fact: if he dropped his appeal (not likely), the conviction would stand

Fact: whatever is decided in Superior Court, with a jury trial, will be what matters

I said nothing different ....

Gotcha, I mistook what you were saying about it being on hold.

We're good.

People are saying the media is "wrong" in saying he was convicted. They aren't wrong ... but now with the appeal, that bench trial conviction really doesn't mean anything -- it's moot (not to be confused with "mute") -- unless the appeal were dropped. It is a fact, though, that he was convicted.

The same MSNBC that tried so very hard to start race riots a few weeks ago?

I hope Big Cat stands firm.       Msnbc and Yahoo will be the loudest, imo,  in the crusade to get Hardy strung up.   He needs to ignore them,  and Goodell needs to ignore them.         Do not let the media dictate how a multi-billion dollar business should be run.

With the meda starting a petition to get Goodell fired...  with the media painting Goodell as the devil,  even after he banned Rice.. it should be clear to him that no matter what he does....they will not shine any positive light in his direction..   he should just say screw trying to please them.
