Smitty can obviously still play. I think Gettleman knew he was drafting a WR early and simply didn't want Smitty around the young guy. A lot of the things we love about Smitty are also things you don't necessarily want rubbing off on a young guy. Smitty is mad about the release but it is what it is. It lit a fire under his ass again and the Ravens get to benefit.

He's clearly their #1 WR right now

Under Rivera, the Panthers have been one of the least, if not THE least, penalized team in terms of flags per game and yards per game.  I think we can get through this season of newly-instituted rules better than most.

Shouldn't have been flagged, that was a legal hit. Steelers just got screwed. Smitty should've held on to that though. He sucks. Mitchell sucks. We're better off without both of them.
