NFL.com's Name The Play Finalists

So, just to break up all of the "Elevator-gate" uproar going on in here this morning... Here is something interesting.

 

I went over to nfl.com and noticed the "Vote for Play Names" link and was curious to see if they actually put Gano kicking with the band on there as technically it wasn't a play. Well, to my surprise, they are down to 3 plays this week... And they are all Panther Related-ish.

 

Play 1- Kicking It With The Band

Play 2- Wrap Up Son

Play 3- All About The Benjamins

 

I know Smitty is no longer a Panther BUT the Ice Up Son quote is still a part of Panthers' history as well as Smitty.

I just can't remember the last time we even has a play of the week nomination... Much less 2 of 3.

Before this turns into another goddam "We miss #89/flame Gman" thread I just wanna say: 

 

Man it feels good to be relevant again.

Smitty made one great play, but had a bunch of terrible drops and he acts like he grinded out 100 yards instead of getting gifted 70 on blown coverage.

I never intended this to turn into that. We all have a soft spot for him in our hearts, but he IS a Raven now and no amount of whining will change that. It should quiet down some of the "Flame GMan" talk when KB's TD wins this week. And then completely silence that crowd once Week 2 KB is in the running again and Smitty is nowhere to be seen. We are better off now... Everyone should accept that.
