You said it's a problem if Smith were to look at his teammate as a threat. I'm saying anyone who wouldn't look at the guy trying to take your #1 spot from you is competition is a wimp.

 

In what part of that statement did you get lost? Don't worry. I'll hold your hand and we'll make it through this...together.

It's a problem if you come out and say you want the team to get a legitimate number 1 receiver and then act like that when that competition arises.

For the record, yet again. I love G-man, but I hate the way he handled Smitty's departure.  Perhaps it was time for him to go, but I personally feel we would have benefited from having Smitty and KB on the field.  I hope we stomp the Ravens, but I think it's going to be a tough game. If Smitty is a hero or just collateral damage on our way to victory, so be it. I just want to win.

I think anybody with an ounce of self awareness knew that they wouldn't appreciate his antics if he was on an opposing team when he was a Panther.

I would have said that he'll still retire a Panther, signing a 1 day contract to do so, but if all he can do is make an ass of himself on national TV, he may lose his chance.  Gettleman may tell him to fug off when he suggests doing it, because of the "you'll see in week 4 mother fugers" comment.

Gettleman is not the one who'll make that call, and I think that Jerry Richardson is more adept at putting Smitty's antics into context than Joe Blow fan.

Yes. Mainly due to Cotchery and Avant. Those guys are serious mentors and all around really nice guys.
