Smitty may be even more pissed than we thought (Panthers related)

89 looked bad most of that game.

He made big play on a busted play and that was how he got behind the D.....and he he should of been tackled bc the guy has no speed anymore

89 will be more bark than bite

He dropped 4 passes to start off. One was when he took a huge hit.

I chalk it up as week 1 new team jitters.

He will be in mid season form by time we play him and flaco loves te dude.

Y'all wil see tonight.

Smitty is still my favorite panther to ever wear a jersey. I have to admit, it is hard watching him in another jersey. Last sunday, at the sports bar I was at, I still kept a close eye on the Ravens game to see how he was doing. I don't take that comment as disrespect to the fans.We all know who Smitty is calling out in that video. I am happy with my team right now(especially KB) and I wish nothing but the best for Smitty in Baltimore. But for now, Let's focus on the Lions. Big nfc game coming up sunday. Let's go Panthers!

Everyone hating should pump the breaks a little bit.

This was a comment he made on the sidelines after a big play in the heat of the game.  We all know what a competitor he is.  He would never say things like this when a mic was in in face talking to the media.

It's not really fair to take the comments of players in the moment too far out of context.  Remember Richard Sherman trashing Crabtree in the post-game?  It happens, these guys are fired up in game mode.

Based on Week 1 it's working out for both teams.

I love and will always love Smitty and hope he retires a Panther, but provided KB continues to look like he has, then DG obviously made the right decision.

Gettleman and Rivera would look worse to Panther fans by saying they cut Smitty due to him not being able to give up being the Alpha Male receiver here, so they went the pure football decision route. Truth is, 89 is obviously still good enough to play in the league and even start but he didn't fit into the long term plans of the Panthers.

It really was a business decision. I think it is a net positive for both sides.

Smitty has always needed perceived disrespect so if you think about it the Panthers did him as right as they could on his way out.

DG is setting the team up to be good over the long haul, Smitty wants to be a good team (although not sure the Ravens are) and the end of his career.
