How Should We As Panthers Fans Respond To Domestic Violence?

I'm curious as to how the crowd in the stands Sunday will react to a Hardy sack or his player intro (I'm highly doubting they introduce the defense this week, just to avoid it).  I'm guessing with the emotion of the game, the fans will cheer him, but who knows.

All I know for sure is I don't think we should turn our backs when Hardy takes the field. As others have said in numerous threads, there's a huge difference between Hardy's ongoing case and the clear video proof of what Ray Rice did. I simply don't think Hardy deserves that kind of cold shoulder treatment in light of the lack of hard evidence against him.

How do you feel we should respond?

I think about this issue and believe the best course of action would be to take a couple weeks and suspend football.  During that hiatus we should simply use that time to start threads about Hardy, Ray Rice, Domestic Violence, the Constitution, Due Process and Roger Goddell.  Doesn't matter if its recycled or has been stated or implied in 20 or so previous threads.  Lets just start a new one.  I even think we should have a Hardy.bot virus like program that will automagically start a new thread after the previous thread gets more than 12 posts.  Not a lot of logic will need to go into the *.bot because the threads started by real people contain very little logic within themselves.

Now if you will excuse me, this one has reached its max and it is my duty to start another one.

I find it interesting that sex and love has such a stranglehold on American culture.

If I fug a prostitute then punch her in the face, it's simple assault.

If I fug my wife then punch her in the face, it's a huge ordeal.

So basically you get more penalized because of love.

It's already well documented that the Observer thinks Hardy should be released and we as fans should turn our back on him. To me ostracizing Hardy is not the answer. Turning our back on our players is a negative message and the wrong message. Hardy hasn't even had his due process yet.

However the bigger issue to me right now is how the NFL has handled this Ray Rice situation. I think every NFL fan base should respond with a positive message. During the National Anthem I think it would be cool if every couple in every stadium held hands and raised them to the sky. Families could do it to. It tells the NFL how we feel about the people we love and it tells the rest of the country how we feel as well. It's a positive gesture that inspires people to be better partners without shunning those who are trying to improve themselves.

How do you feel we should respond?

By not punching our wives.

In the Ray Rice situation I think this article shows that we should mind our own goddam business:

http://news.sky.com/story/1332871/ray-rices-wife-blasts-media-over-husbands-ban

When an adult woman has made up her mind to forgive and forget what has gone on between her and her husband we shouldn't be jumping to paint her as her as some unstable dolt who has mental issues clouding her judgement. Stop pretending to be white knights riding to the rescue when in fact we're all just painting women as some inferior species that can't make decisions without "hur man" and his pitchfork.
