Goodell isn't going anywhere. The 32 owners are largely way more evil and corrupt than Goodell is. What incentive do they have to fire him? Sponsors pulling out? From the National F'ing Football League? Do you know how much money sponsors make off things like NFL ads? 

 

People are overreacting here. The way the media is going off you would think it was Goodell who slugged Janay Rice in that elevator. Getting Congress involved because they feel the punisher gave too light a sentence? How about Congress gets involved with actual judges who let dirtbags like Ray Rice get off without serving any jail time because of lenient sentencing?

Actually, sponsors=bottom line. If top sponsors get enough "I refuse to buy your product as long as you are supporting the NFL while RG is commish" type feedback, RG &/or the owners are going to be pressured for his ouster.

 

The NFL makes a chunk of it's money from TV deals. As long as people are watching; viewership, that bottom line will not be impacted.

It's true. I have witnessed this first hand. My sister continually dates men who are mentally off a bit. I don't know what it is, but she can't get enough of it.

 

sad stuff bro and I truly hope she comes to her senses. this is truly a father's and brother's toughest issue concerning women in their family. My best friend had a cousin who was dating this thug dude that beat the crap out of her and she would not leave him. so eventually my friend tried to stand up for her and it ended with the thug and his goons jumping him. they pulled his shirt over his head and pounded him out. they were going to shoot him but he got away. she later screamed at him for helping her and continued dating and getting smacked around. So many drama queens. There is no bigger sponsorship a company can have than the NFL. NFL sponsorships have literally saved companies before. It's a multi-billion dollar business. Any sponsor that pulls out would be slitting their own throat.

Yes, this is another very strong point. If sponsors start pulling away from the NFL or voicing their displeasure with him due to his RG's credibility taking a massive blow, that is going to weigh heavily on the owner's minds. This isn't Rush Limbaugh we're talking about here. He's not a shock jock throwing poo to the wall hoping it sticks. He's a legal guardian to one of the biggest industries in the USA and he's supposed to have credibility and integrity. If he was lying to cover up an incident that transcends the game and appeals heavily to people's emotions....could be BIG trouble for Roger. You don't fug with rich people's money.
