Chris Mortensen just made a great point on ESPN.  The first thing to watch may be the sponsors.  I think sponsors would pull out before fans start dropping off.  Sponsors pulling out would certainly impact the NFL's bottom line and the major sponsors may be the next target for public lambasting from special interest groups.
