Until the NFL's bottom line starts getting impacted, Goodell is gonna stay.  People are still gonna watch NFL football.  It's gonna cause a big PR poo storm, but I doubt it impacts the bottom line.  The owners are definitely going to try to weather the storm and see if it blows over.  They can always fire Goodell later if they need to and still look like shining white knights.

I don't see how this does significant damage to their bottom line any time soon. The TV money is already paid, the tickets are already sold. Everybody in the media has hated Goodell for years, so how is this going to significantly hurt the league monetarily?

Had the bottom line been affected when the NFL changed their domestic abuse policy or did they charge it because they were taking a beating in the press?

I'm trying to say those who say it's going to affect the bottom line are kidding themselves. People WATCHED the opener despite knowing Ray Rice HAD abused his now wife and had been suspended. No one is suddenly going to stop watching football because Goodell claims he did not see the video.
