Goodell will be fired/resign by next week

if this is true goodell is 100% gone.  no doubt about it.  with the way he has run the league, for it to come out he has been a hypocrite of the highest order the entire time?  yeah, not gonna fly with owners, players, fans, media, and so on.

i suspect we will start seeing some folks in new york getting thrown under the bus in an attempt to save the REAL high up's skin.  looking back at the goodell interview from yesterday you can tell he is being very cautious, dancing around the question quite a bit, when asked if he or anybody in the league office knew about or had seen the tape.  he knows the cat is out of the bag and the media folks are gonna burn him to the ground.

Who is NOW? I had not even heard of them until you mentioned them.

About congress, what are they going to do? A private entity leniently punishes an employee for bad conduct. Upon further review, the CEO decides to increase the punishment in light of previously unseen footage. Congress is going to do what about that again?

Former players who are constantly suing the NFL for more money are calling RG a hypocrite?

Sports media is wanting their rating too.

I mean come on, there are worse scandals out there that have been survived and not this

National Organization of Women, one of the biggest political lobbying groups in the country.

As to Congress, ever heard of the NFL's Antitrust Exemption?  Or perhaps the Blackout Rule?

And as mentioned, the NFL is the most image conscious league in sports (i.e. "protect the shield").

This is not just fading away.

That is what you are hoping for. As I said, this is all reactionary. It'll come to nothing in a few days.

Big picture....media is going to try to scapegoat Goodell. Yes. I said it.

Bigger issue today isn't Goodell's initial punishment....it is the fact our legal system let Rice get away. That injustice IMO is unfairly being shifted to Goodell. Which is a joke.

Also, our government should have better things to do. There are comparable and worse crimes that have been committed by athletes and those prior commissioners didn't even give those guys 2 games leaving the door also open for additional down he road......and our govt has never given a poo before. Selective caring isn't something I care for.....and they got enough poo to worry about

good. he is a terrible commissioner, adam silver is light years ahead of him and he's only had the job for a year

All a matter of which perspective you are looking from.....owners most likely love him. He does there bidding and catches all the flack. That ultimately is all that matters if you are Roger

Completely wrong.

I'm not "hoping for" anything on this issue, actually. I don't actually have any emotional stake in this at all.

Other than the fact that i believe domestic violence is a major issue and I believe those who commit it should be strongly punished, I haven't really expressed what I think should happen in this issue.

I'm talking about what I think will happen going by what I see.

All of this selective outrage should tell all of the nonmorons all they need to know about whatz really going on here. Too bad the lemmings have been conditioned to react how they are told to react by the thought police.

Female. That ain't Goodell

The number it came from was confirmed as being in the NFL's main offices.

Goodell repeatedly insisted in an interview with CBS just a few days ago that nobody in the League had seen it.

So either he's lying or he's ignorant about something going on in his own building.  Looks bad either way, especially for a guy who told someone else "ignorance is no excuse".

Good.  I want his ass gone.  Corrupt, shady mf'er.

He tried to pull the strings and then cover himself again and it backfired this time.  If you lie, you should be exposed for it and endure the consequences, REGARDLESS of your position in life.

I still have a hard time believing the owners will vote him out unless the gov't intervenes, but LOL @ the irony of them demanding transparency.

Still, I wanted him to pay for his wrist slap on the Patriots for cheating us and two other teams out of a Superbowl and then destroying the evidence.  HE basically tried the same thing here but got called on it.

True. I had to laugh this morning watching ESPN. They were breaking down Bob Griffin and the ESPN personality said, and I paraphrase, "Just 2 years ago Griffin (they used the RG acronym of course) could do no wrong and was all over the place as the savior of the Redskins..."

Lol well no poo Sherlock. It was ESPN that forced his ass on us EVERY night during the season and summer.
