Pro Football Focus rated the Panthers’ defense the second best in Week 1 with a 21.9 rating and gave their pass coverage top honors. Carolina’s cornerbacks yielded just 28 yards after the catch to the Buccaneers.

im not ready to put us that high yet. i want to see us go into the Seattle game with only one loss and then beat them convincingly before i say we are even close to the likes of Denver and Seattle.

This.  They looked like the worst team in the league in the 1st half.  One of my best friends is a HUGE Eagles fan and he even says that he thinks they're a middle of the road team right now.  He got a good chuckle out of ESPN's power rankings himself.

CBS also has us 18th in power rankings- up 4 spots from last week but still behind the Jets.

 

Just goes to show that it's too early in the season to sort out who's good and who ain't.

I think when we talk about how unreliable these rankings are when were low should still be applied when were ranked highly. There's only one ranking that matters and it's the W/L column.

probably because of how bad rest of NFC Least is. At least one major media ranking has each of Redskins, Giants, Cowboys ranked #16 of 16 teams in NFC and all have the 3 ranked as NFC cellar dwellers. Lots of free wins for Eagles
