Your like the fat annoying girl that no one in the group invites to come out but ends up coming anyway, then runs her annoying mouth the entire night and ends up being a total c@ck block to some dude trying to get with one of her "friends"..........

Annoying, yes.....but nothing he is saying is far fetched or out of line.

A smart upper office will let ANY pending case go through due course. even then hardy only owes 2/6 games 2 if he's grand fathered in the rules. 6 if not.

The 2 or 6 game penalty would be without pay, so I think they could suspend him now with pay and consider that independent of any future penalty that would occur after the trial. (Though I doubt the NFLPA will be happy with that arrangement.)

Mmm, good point. Sounds reasonable from a team and league standpoint.

Domestic violence cases are not handled like this in most states. Bench trials are faster and ease the caseload, and are typically open and shut. For first time offenders prosecutors will typically offer pretrial interventions and a negotiated settlement. Obviously this is harder to do for repeat offenders.

99.9 percent of small claims/domestic violence cases are handled like this. If every single person needed a jury then obviously the court system would be backed up twenty years.

In the eyes of the law, regardless of his pending appeal, he's had his day in court. This wasn't a discovery trial.

If hardy's lawyer argued his 6th amendment rights had been violated he'd be laughed out of the court, regardless what am radio tells you.

Now there might be some difference in nc domestic violence court but they're all pretty uniform.

They were hoping the case would get a not guilty obviously which it should have been. It's quicker and that's why the chose it. But they didn't account for the political leanings of the judge they got. The trial lasted abnormally long and the judge waited for a late holder which is very odd and rare. For having all this knowledge about cases tell me one thing in the hardy trials you heard because I don't think you followed it at all. And as far as normal domestic violence cases bench trials are faster and more common but none of that nonsense you spouted proves yourself right. And laughed out? Haha man what are you a judge? Your so full of it.

No kidding. I feel sorry for whoever wrote that piece on ESPN. You are doomed.
