Until found guilty by a jury of your peers.

I had just the opposite experience when I served on a Jury. They were mostly reasonable and intelligent people who quickly and easily came to the correct decision when the Civil trial was over with.

Thw one I served on was vocally more concerned with whatever got us out before lunch. In this case it was a guilty verdict seemingly based only on the perception that it would be the quickest decision.

Would suck.

Now reality is that if they thought I was under the influence despite not blowing anything....there probably would be some more puzzle pieces in play for them to think that

Maybe I didn't blow anything on the breathalyzer....but let's say that since I had my window rolled down singing Hanson's Mmm Bop at the top of my lungs, while naked except for an adult diaper and wearing a Falcon hat they weren't to sure about things.

Reality could of been I wasn't drinking or doing drugs....but I could of made wiser choices. Especially if I had a job where I was well known in my community with a job dealing with the public. Could you ever look me in the eye and want to do business with me and my company knowing that I was wearing a Falcon hat that night?

I'd have to accept some responsibility in it all

Anyone caught in Charlotte NC wearing a "Falcons" ,"Saints" or "Bucs"

hat. should be placed under lock and key  until there could be a mental evaluation test concluded.

He was found guilty. No amount of misogynistic screaming and poo flinging about feminists and female judges will change that. He's just got to hope his appeal goes better for him. If he's innocent, I wish him all the best.

That said, a guilty verdict isn't necessary to be suspended by the league or team. If his actions/judgement throw either into a negative light, that's enough. His rights aren't being violated one iota. If people start turning more attention Hardy's way and it hurts the image Richardson wants to project or costs him money, he's gone.

I kinda forget all the info from when he was in court before but since I'm in Criminal Procedure this semester in law school the first thing we learned about was the general order of events from arrest through trial and I'm pretty sure that this was just a preliminary hearing which is just a screener type of court appearance where the judge makes a decision based on the current evidence whether its worth actually taking the case to trial. Greg could have waived this prelim. hearing and gone straight to the actual trial had he wanted to, Holder could have really screwed Greg by asking for and getting a grand jury review against him (which she didn't and likely couldn't). The standard of review in this prelim. hearing is probable cause which is a really low standard for Holder to have shown in order for the case to move on to the real trial.

This just sounds a lot worse than it actually is. It's more like the ruling was, based on the circumstances, its reasonable that this could have happened.

There will be a lot more info in the real trial and if Greg has better proof of his innocence we'll see then.

I'm pretty sure this wasn't a preliminary hearing bc Hardy was sentenced to 60 days in jail and probation.

If a fraction of what was stated in court actually happened, even if he is found not guilty, Hardy is gone. I'm so sick of these idiot millionaires.

Constitutional rights and presumption of innocence matter only in public proceedings.  Here, we are dealing with Panthers Football, LLC.  I understand what you're saying, but it amounts to nothing more than impassioned rhetoric.  However, I do agree that, like any normal person on the street, the Panthers should not be so quick to rush to judgment until a group of Hardy's peers has judged him guilty or innocent.
