Everyone saw the aftermath of Ray Rice knocking her unconscious back in Feb. I don't get what all the fuss is about now. His discipline should have been more severe in the beginning. The NFL is just trying to save face now because it looks worse with the video from inside of the elevator, but everyone knew he knocked her out

The case is full of he said/she said, there is no video so let the courts settle it first.

Apples and oranges.  Rice's (now wife) has a mix of Stockholm Syndrome with Battered Spouse Syndrome.  He was found guilty in court.  There was indisputable video evidence of what Rice did (call that a guilty verdict).  It looks TERRIBLE for the NFL not only that they tried to sweep it under the rug with a 2 game suspension but that they probably saw the video of him in the elevator and did nothing about it. 

 

Hardy on the other hand is involved in a criminal trial that is being appealed with controversial evidence that has not come to an outcome yet.  Hardy should not be suspended or punished until the outcome of his trial.

You know else is looking hypocritical? How about the effing Charlotte Observer for not having the guts to write this editorial when Hardy was first arrested? It took video of a completely unrelated incident for them to write this?

Anyone else find how this disappears from the media when they find out that most of the fantastical garbage that was spewed in the Hardy case did not happen. She turns out to be a messed up ex-girlfriend who won't leave Hardy alone.

 

He is convicted on a misdemeanor charge of yelling at a woman and verbalizing threats.

 

Now the media runs with a video of an act we already knew took place and everything comes back to the front because it will get readers/viewers and we all know how your advertisers love those numbers. Money for the media is all this is about. It's a business. They thrive on sensationalizing violence, corruption, and debauchery. Without it they would go bankrupt.

 

In two weeks there will be a new hot story.
