The Observer: Panthers Should Suspend Hardy Now

Black

Recommended Posts

I won't be destroyed to see Hardy walk in the offseason, I don't like people who cause major off field issues, and this isn't the first time Hardy has done something distracting.  That said, no, you don't suspend him.  He hasn't been found guilty in front of a jury, theres a lot of missing pieces of the puzzle, and lastly (while he did/said something stupid, with someone stupid, and drunk), this is a misdemeanor and is not in the same plane of existence as what the turd rice did.

They better be damn sure he will get convicted again with a jury trial. That is playing with fire

You can give him 6 games and wait and see what happens. That isn't really playing with fire.

It is a delayed punishment that makes people look dumb and reactionary....but it isn't really playing with fire.

Times like this, I hate the fugging media.

I don't mean to parrot what others are saying, but dude is entitled to his due process.

Then if jury of his peers convict him, then you deal with the punishment.

It is not hypocrisy, it is protecting a defendant's rights.

The stupid azz media doesn't seem to grasp even the reason a trial by jury is his right. It is for his protection so his reputation, or guilt isn't determined by one person who may have bias or prejudice.

I don't know if media is really terrible at their job, or just flat stupid. Not all of course, but the numbers seem to grow every day.

It really isn't hard to stand what will happen if they give him six games and then he's found innocent

How so? Even if he wins his appeal...they can stand by the games they suspended him

You don't have to be guilty of a crime to get suspended

Hypothetically if they suspend him and he wins the jury trial and is cleared of all charges there will be lawsuits from the players association out the ass

Again, you don't have to be guilty of a crime for the NFL to suspend you.

See Big Ben.
