The Observer: Panthers Should Suspend Hardy Now

Yes, I'm quite sure everyone has accepted the fact that he has appealed *key word* to have his case heard by a jury. What that does not do is change the verdict of his original case unless he can successfully appeal. It was never my point that Hardy was out of legal options, only that as it currently stands he is a guilty man.

The Jury verdict WILL override the bench trial's verdict.  So now having said that, he is innocent until the jury trial proves he is guilty BEYOND REASONABLE DOUBT.  Which is something the prosecutors cannot prove.  Why don't you look up the Judge that presided over the bench trial.  She has a hard-on for these types of cases and likes to make examples out of people.  Which would be why she gave this girl all day to show up to the court room after she continuously failed to appear.  Any other "Judge" would have thrown the case out then and there.

You obviously didn't follow the trial by the way you are posting.

Right now you just come off as someone who read about the ending of a movie on IMDB and want to discuss the details when you haven't a clue.

Yes. I am not arguing that his appeal could alter the judgement against him. I didn't state that it wouldn't. I only said that in the interim between now and when his appeal is heard the verdict does not change obviously. So for now, Hardy wears the collar of a man found guilty of the crimes in which he was accused.

To the misinformed he does.

The fact doesn't change that he must be proven guilty and not innocent.  No matter what that Judge's verdict was, he doesn't enter the jury trial as a guilty man.  That would be a violation of his constitutional right.

False. He doesn't enter into the jury trial with the JURY knowing he's a guilty man. That's the small distinction that could allow someone to sneak out of calling him guilty. But his case has been heard, has been ruled upon, and without Hardy's appeal it would already be done and over. The very nature of the term "appeal" should tell you that Hardy was dissatisfied with the guilty verdict that was handed down to him and seeks to change it. I don't know why it seems like I am speaking a foreign language here. He no longer has a trial, he has an appeal. His trial has already taken place.

I'm really not sure how I feel about him playing still. I will say one thing, without him I think our defense will still be awesome and I think Mario Addison Wes Horton Frank Alexander and even Kony Ealy as a group can still get the job done well

I just can't help thinking hoe better we could have spent 14 million
