Josh Norman to cover .... Megatron?

Recommended Posts

I just want to keep him from getting open deep. Stafford will loft that bitch up and no one has a chance to compete with Calvin... def keep a safety near by. Wish we had lester on the squad. he is the biggest and tallest saftey we got.

Height and size do not help when you are 5 to 10 steps out of position. He has been getting burnt since the playoff game against San Francisco. I respect your opinion. I just don't think Lester is the answer.

That's Bene, but Norman is long

Yes you are correct. I just looked it up. I was off by a good bit actually. His vertical was 33 inches. My main fear with Norman is him talking trash and getting a penalty. I have heard that trash talk gives Megatron additional incentive to school you without saying a word back.

Key phrase, "at times." No way we're sticking him out there on an island. He doesn't have the speed to keep up.

On a related note, the whole Norman playing time is interesting because the way RR phrases sounds like he wants Norman to play, but McDermont isn't sold, which worries me a bit. Reminds me last year when Shula was pressured to have more deep passes for the Buffalo game, and we all know how they worked out.

I just hope McDermott doesn't have to scale back his game plan to include someone who has problems adhering to the scheme like Norman.

i don't think pressure or blitzes are the answer. show a 3 or 4 man look and drop several guys back. don't give Stafford a typical look.

in fact. i say lots and lots and LOTS of zone blitzes. why? that is a great base d to disguise where the blitz comes from, if you in fact decide to do so.

i'm not sweating the running game. it's the big wr's/te's that worry me.

we have to play from in front. get a double digit lead and just keep the Lions in front of you.

that's...just my two cents.
