I think Foucault will be waived and placed on PS if/when he's brought up.

My fear is the other teams letting Ricky coach him up, and then if he's showing improvement snatching him off the practice squad after eight weeks or so, if he's still there.

Unless they're spying on practice, how would any other team know if Hill is improving or not? They won't. Every other team passed on him based on his film to date and will continue to do so.

If the Panthers are only keeping him as insurance for Cam until he's healthy, Webb could conceivably be let go if the team is satisfied Cam is okay.

Klien can take his place. Jason Williams and Klien can get the job done.

The problem is we didn't activate Bersin, so would Hill even be active?

We obviously don't use many 4 WR sets because Olsen is such a great receiver. So would Hill even get playing time if active?

I do believe we are sitting him to help learn the playbook and see what Proehl can teach. If we do being him up to the 53 man roster I see us cutting Bersin. After all why would we need a WR that can't return kickoffs/punts when we have Hill?

I think one of the main reasons we would promote him is so other teams wouldn't steal him off the PS.. Thinking he gets most of his playing time either next year or deep into the season where he's learned the playbook and Proehl's worked his magic

Might coincide with the NFL suspending Hardy at the rate things are going....

Yes I do think we are waiting on him to Lear. The playbook and see what Ricky can do with him. However if other NFL teams were interested in him wouldn't he be on another team considering where we pick on the waiver wire. Also no team has claimed Hill from our PS but yet a team has already claimed one offensive lineman. I don't think there are any teams interested in Hill right now.

True.. But they could've been waiting now (after week one no guaranteed $$$). Also someone can get injured at any moment and he gets claimed. We shouldn't jump and panic to keep him but I have high hopes for the kid and hope he sticks on our roster.

Yes he could get claimed at any moment when a injury occurs but it's highly unlikely.

To be clear, practice squad players can refuse offers from other teams. They can't be 'claimed' like a player on waivers can.

Most do take offers to be on a regular roster when they get them, but they don't have to.
