There wasn't anything wrong with Stewart, the problem is people undervalue Deangelo Williams.

I've never seen Panther fans wanting to proclaim someone too old, and too ineffective so prematurity in the history of this franchise. Yeah, he's thirty one, and the new RB "rules" say he's now too old, but the guy stays healthy and works hard.

I didn't see anything wrong with his game.  For one, he's only getting 6-7 touches a game.  Sometimes he's going to get big yardage in those touches, other times he won't.  That's natural of any running back.  I don't see running backs getting an average of 100 yards with just 6-7 carries a game.  Yet ultimately, both D-Will and Stew are hindered in this running system.  These guys need fullbacks to really open them up.

If the line isn't stellar then Stewart isn't stellar. He needs room to gain momentum. Otherwise he gets stood up quite a lot. I also don't understand why we run sweeps and tosses with him AT ALL. Why would we EVER want Stewart moving laterally?

I saw Tolbert running a sweep or two as well... certainly baffled me. I am 200% for the dump off to these guys but I want them moving downfield, not trying to get to the edge.

In all fairness, some plays are run to set up others. Keeping them honest. I'm not worried about Stewart if another back is getting chunks. Just as I won't worry about DeAngelo if another back is breaking them off with his reps. In the end it's a balance thing.
