Cut or Keep Greg Hardy

Speaking of videos, Hardy mentioned on the 911 call that he had a video. I'm not a lawyer, but if the video does shed a better light on all of this, it might be time to leak it.

Make no mistake. A storm is coming. I have no doubt that TMZ and others are digging and approaching anyone with information, and they pay well. All eyes will be on how the NFL treats Greg Hardy and Ray McDonald's cases.

You are 100% Correct. This has the feel of a modern day witch hunt. To hell with due process.

I see storm clouds on the horizen.

BTW, Rice got what he deserved. He's a punk ass coward, If that'd been one of my daughters the Ravens wouldn't have had to release him or the league wouldn't have had to suspend him, cause a dead man can't play football.

To be honest, I won't be surprised or even that mad if Hardy wins his appeal but still gets the 6 games. I understand the policy. Rather than making it a zero tolerance policy, you do 6 games to teach a lesson in not getting yourself into stupid situations. A simple warning might not to the trick. 6 might be a bit much, but better than a ban.

What I don't want, and what I'm afraid will happen, is that they will make an example of him based on the MUCH MUCH worse offenses of Ray Rice, and because the NFL dropped the ball on this.

Courts didn't get anything wrong.  Rice's fiancee dropped all the charges.  Think what you want of her, but the reality of that situation is between him and her.  If she needs help, feels threatened, wanted to leave him, sue the poo out of him, etc she could have and in the future will be able to.  Don't know why everyone thinks it's their job to stick their nose in everyone else's poo.

Even if Hardy is convicted it is nowhere near on the scale of what Rice did.  Sure there was a struggle, some roughness and threats, but he didn't knock her out cold.

I don't understand why people are surprised by the video.  The first video from outside the elevator of him dragging her around unconscious surfaced months ago.  It was declared she was knocked out cold by Rice (and I believe that was confirmed by both parties in court).  I don't know why the video changes anything.  Is it because most people are too small minded to read words and create images from that?  They need a freaking video to show exactly what everyone knew?

Regardless, there is no video for the Hardy incident.  Even if some footage of something exists, we know the incident took place throughout different rooms and it is unlikely the whole story would be told (unless you clearly see Greg striking her).

Actually they did.  In domestic violence cases it is not the victim who can drop charges, but the state.  They had all that evidence and decided to allow Rice into some pre-trial diversionary BS.

You nailed it. The DA and trial judge really fuged this one up. Total judicial failure.

If the victim doesn't testify or participate, you'll have a hard time getting a conviction. Thats a waste of time and tax payers money
