You might not. But a jury of 12 people seeing the actual victim pleading and crying that the tape really doesn't tell what truly happen and begging not to punish Ray might fool a few people. As a prosecutor you have to know this.

I mean, domestic abuse cases end with guilty verdicts with the spouse trying to excuse the behavior and not participating. It is not unheard of or even rare. I literally could not tell you what would be a stronger piece of evidence than what was available here.

Just like the 7 police officers in LA caught on tape beating a motorist for 5 to 7 minutes. That was a slam dunk case as well?? Right? ?

Like I said if your best witness is committed to destroy your evidence (video, Tape recording or whatever) it hurts a prosecutor case.

The King case was a judicial anomaly and a travesty of justice.

Yes I do still contend, that a fair minded, level headed judge, or civic minded jury of his peers,

would come back with a slam dunk guilty verdict, after watching that video. No other evidence needed.

Cool, so you pick the one case in the last 30 years, that is universally viewed as a travesty, of justice, and then express anger about how rare my example is. I bet I can find more than one example of mine in the last 20 years.

If your example is such a miscarriage of justice that it caused a riot, it is probably a bad example.

We are fully aware that the RK situation was a travesty and the LAPD, etc. caught hell over that just as many are calling for the Atlantic City judge, DA, and others who presided over the Rice case to step down.  

 

You keep bringing up outside examples, as if there is no video in the Rice case, and then when you actually acknowledge the video you blow it off as no big deal because it didn't help in the King situation.  How do you not see how flawed this logic is?  Video tape is used everyday to lock people away.  We are supposed to believe it doesn't matter here because of Rodney King?   You are not being very convincing, but I'm starting to wonder if that even matters to you.

We are all just people. There is a reason society has different laws for kids and adults. If I need to go into why then let me know. 

 

 

I don't see any difference in a man hitting another adult man or adult woman.  Nor do I see a difference in a women hitting a man or another woman.

Generally speaking, a woman is helpless compared to a man physically but nowhere near as helpless as a child compared to an adult.
