Detroit prediction thread.....what you say?

Lions have no running game.

Rush four all day Sunday. Rotate DLine and keep him fresh. No problem.

Um...you could not be more wrong. Glad you aren't our advanced scout. Both Bell and Bush do a great job for them.

Lions O-line is actually good. We might have problems getting to Stafford consistently with 4 and might have to blitz. Key is containing Megatron.

As for our offense, Lions have speed rushers and that's where Bell struggles. RT will be tested too. Hope Cam is ready to use his legs.

Well said. But...I wouldn't blitz too much. If you don't get there, you can get in trouble quickly. They trust their O-line enough to not max protect too often. You have to get there with 4. While stopping the run too.

The Lion's defense looks gassed. Keeping them on the field for a longer time with the run will kill them. They look as gassed as Greg Hardy did on TB's second TD drive yesterday.

The good thing for us is, they really don't have much depth. Get them tired and it can work for us.

I am not sure we beat this DET team.

They have a really good DL.

Nice big receivers.

A Payton disciple calling plays.

Gonna need a hell of a game to pull this out. No mistakes and gonna need to stay aggressive the whole night.

This is true. They are going to be a good test.

Although Calvin is the only real WR with any size. Tate and Broyles are both average. All the TEs are big too.

They are playing well, and disciplined. Not sure if it is a mirage, or if Cladwell has tapped into the talent they do have.

Pressure Matt with 4, and we run the ball well. That could get it done for us.

What most people are missing is that this team is a good match up for us. Weak run D and secondary and a offense that does not run the ball. Not only do we have a offence that wears on opposing defences but we also have a defence that can zone blitz or just make pass rush out of there front 4. The only way to stop us is play action off the run. That's about it.

I just saw the Giants game and I'm a bit worried.

I don't remember Stafford being so elusive in the pocket, he has put some work on it this offseason, but I'm not worried about this.

This offense works thanks to Megatron. Versus Giants defense Tate put 93 yards (44 of them came with a really bad coverage, so 49yds), 49 more with Bush and 26 with Fauria. Versus Panthers defense this is nothing. Rushing Bell put 51 yards and Bush just 15. So we "only" need a good coverage on Megatron and it will be a close game.

But honestlly I'm worried about Lions defense, the pressure on the QB was a constant on the game and although Cam is way faster and tougher than Eli, our OL is probably worse. And I also enjoyed how the secundary played, I didn't watch too much last year but they made a good job in the coverage. Yeah, is the Giants and Eli, but...

So here is my prediction, Lions 17-19 Panthers. Our offense works slow, but some flags on Lions defense determine the game. We struggle in the redzone but Gano and defense get work done.

Oh, sorry for double-posting but forgot about this.

Lions run a lot of times 3-TE offense, but I think this is not a problem for us with that LB unity we have.

Davis and Kuechly looked really good in coverage in Tampa, didn't they? Probably I'm thinking probably Luke worked on it this offseason, as he did with rushing abilities. Great student of the game.

Detroit offense has some weapons. However, they are still a very undisciplined and dumb team...look at those penalty yards they had . Hard to gauge Detroit from last night because the Hisnts are God awful. Defense is pathetic and they are trying to change offenses...to one that Eli and other personnel are not suited for.

Still think we win

Detroit will be tough to beat. In my opinion they have the best offense and a pretty good defense. They have the best WR and DT in the game. A top QB and a great trio of running backs. They have a decent defensive line and linebackers, have great depth at TE and have a good #2 WR. Ross is a great return man as well.

I would say their weakness is their secondary. I see KB having over 100 yards.

I am just now watching the Monday night game against the giants and it looks like we will have problems stoping them even with our defensive line. We will need to score at least 21 points to win.

I know it was about three years ago but our defense did a good job containing Megatron compared to other defenses.

Even though Stafford had a field day against us with 335 yards 5 tds and 2 int, Megatron only had 5 rec for 89 yards

and no tds and that was with Gamble, Munnerlyn, Godfrey and Sherrod Martin as our secondary. We also didn't

have Luke, Davis, Star or KK helping out that season. The 2011 season was also the best our offense has been for

awhile but I believe we are even better this year.

    • It's really only been 2 games. The NO team was so bad their coach was fired after the game and Chuba and the defense carried the team to the win against NY. He's played better but I'm not willing to crown him QB god yet. I want to see more than 2 games or even the rest of the season. I want a full 3rd season with the occasional clunker because it happens to every QB, even the great ones. I just need more than what we've seen to this point.
    • So you proceed to let me have it since I’m asking for it lmfao by saying we’re not talking about a random if….what in your head doesn’t click If statements are not realistic. If statements allow me to say anything and make it sound logical. “If” statements in this forum allow anyone without real statistical evidence or factual proof say anything will or can happen so speak directly to facts without these goofy azz if statements or accept all “if” statements. And to respond to your nonsense he had weapons he had protection. He had a rookie WR playing his first NFL game with Mingo and DJ as his other primary targets. How have either preformed since being traded let’s go deeper into that he had weapons. His top targets(week one) XL 7 targets DJ 6 targets Mingo 5 targets now the rookie has has about 8-9 games before Bryce’s return and we’ve seen XL develop some since the start of the season. And those other TOP weapons have a combined 3 catches in a combined 9 games since being traded. 5 for DJ 4 for Mingo these are the top targets your refer to as who he should have been shining with. Is it all on Bryce or these WRs being actual liabilities and not good players does that matter to you or should Bryce be able to elevate them? Do you really know football or is this my 12 yr old nephew spewing a childish mindset and asking us to accept it as serious football talk.  I’ve just seen the post from @Icege It’s sad after being shown actual facts you don’t know what you should be eating crow about buddy grow tf up. It’s ok to be wrong it doesn’t make you a bad guy you’re just wrong about Bryce . You said quote “Bryce can’t throw down field” do you still feel that way? You said a lot of nonsense that has now been proven wrong but we need to keep waiting right ok kool. I can agree with that we need more much more good play before we fully commit for next season, but to act like the progression being shown isn’t impressive as sht. We’re seeing Bryce play good while waiting on more consistency to crown em but you gotta get out of that dark place because living in denial is a bad place to reside.
    • Thielen is a free agent, isn't he? And regardless we need a younger version of him anyway. I see XL + Coker as our #1 and #2 with Palmer as the #3 in that scenario.
